Used to be good.Changed for the bad – I used to go there several times a week. The good drink specials are gone. Not only did they raise the prices but what they have on special is awful. I ordered an Ale House Pilsner must be the worst beer ever. How can this be 'special'? So now you have to order a high priced draft just to be able to drink it. The people I know that used to go there are all looking for a new place to hang out. Bad news travels fast. The place was dead last Friday. It used to be packed.

Worst Experience I've Ever Had – We had a HORRIBLE experience. We went for my husband's birthday last week and had about 12 people in our party. The took over 20 minutes to bring us our drinks and even longer to get a refill. The waitress we had (Kelley) was so confused over our orders, it took at least 1 hour to get our food ordered and out. After our food came, it was pretty decent, but the fiasco just got started. The waitress messed up all of our checks and had to re run everyone's cards. Well it took an hour and a half for the situation to be figured out. During this time not one manager came over to explain the situation or let anyone know what was going on. 2 members of our party ended up getting charged 5 times and 11 TIMES on their credit cards!!!! When we complained to the management they said "dont worry we will take care of you." If by that they meant, ading 20% gratuity onto all of our checks, because that is exactly what they did. This was AFTER an hour of waiting on our checks. Not to mention we had 2 babies with us and had to get them home because a 1 hour dinner turned into a 4 hour miserable time.

When we called later to figure out a solution to our credit cards being charged 5 - 11 times, they were curt, short and said the "manager was in an interview".

Oh they did give us a few coupons for appitizers to "make up for their errors." But really?? Why would we EVER want to go back there. How about you give us something we can use... LIKE OUR MONEY BACK!!!!

Don't start a tab, they'll screw it up! – I went to this location with my SO to meet some friends and he decided to open a bar tab. After an hour he asked for the bill and there were other people's drinks on there! He asked to have them removed from the bill and they charged BOTH totals to his credit card. They charged us $27 for $10 in drinks (which would have cost about $2 at home)! Never open a bar tab at this place. Between this and the food poisoning I got from the Cary location I'll never set foot in another Carolina Ale House and would encourage you to do the same.

I'd eat every meal here! – I love this place. I eat here at least once a week (or at one of their locations anyway). I can't get enough. I haven't had anything on their menu I didn't like. The service is always great--the ambiance is always perfect. It's a great place to go.

LOVE THIS SPORTS BAR – Everything from beer selection to staff to their partnership with the Canes is great about the Ale House. I have been to several of their locations and have always had a great time. Food is really good for a sports bar and the atmosphere is a mix of a little southern with some Northern mixed in which makes me feel at home. Check out on of the Ale Houses when your team plays and you will be hooked.

bad experience – Just last night i went to the ale house with my man it was kind of late everything was fine until about an hour later we were home thank god for that my man started to have severe throwing up and crapping and i dont mean kinda bad it was so bad the throwing up and the crapping happened at the same time every 10 to 15 minutes for 10 hours i was so upset at ale house so i made it a point to call and complain and get my money back it was more about the moral than the money but i felt like we didnt deserve to pay to get sick the manager travis at the creekside location in raleigh nc told me i would have to wait til monday to call their corporation. I just wanted my money back and now i have to go through hoops because they dont want to give me my 30 dollars back i didnt even call the health inspection on them yet i was trying to handle this in a appropriate manner because i have worked in the restaurant business i know this sort of thing happens but now they are making it worse than it has to be! I recommend not to eat at the ale house because it seems like they do not care for their customers and their well being! If you ever are in a situation like that all you want to hear is "Im sorry let us refund your money back" I am now wondering why they are being so defensive about their restaurant like it could never happen to them and that i must be lying. I tell you one thing i wish i was because to see someone you love feel so horrible on their only day off is rough!

Cold beer and game..maybe? Good meals, good service...forget it! – Good money paid should yield good, hot food right? The burger was cold, sent it back, and still cold when returned 3 min later. Put it under the fry lamp maybe? The cheese was not even melting a bit. Pay more attention to your staff!!! The young female hostess on Wed, 1/2/08 around 7pm. seating on the non-smoking dining side was visibly uninterested in being there. She is truly doing your business harm. I watched as she acted carelessly aloof the same way with all customers seated. No embelishment here..she walked to booth, dropped the napkins and walked off. No smile, no eye-contact, no thank you...nada. She didnt even wait for your customers to be seated. I would have fired her on the spot! The food was cold, and the manager looked as though he was "one of the boys" hanging out. The Ale House is a great concept, but mgmt, the owners.. truly need to do a surpise walk-in evaluation of this young staff at Briercreek. We will go somewhere else. No reply from you will be regarded as par with the bad experience my group had tonight at your establishment. (submitted to Ale House Customer Feedback webpage on 1/2/08) We will see if a reply is forthcoming..

Very good sports bar – I've been to several locations of Carolina Ale House. The original one located off of wake forest road has an atmosphere different than the ones built after it. It is darker and not as large. Anyway, I go to the ale houses for the food and all the televisions they have to watch games. A full order of chicken nachos is usually humongous ! I've never had anything that tasted bad but there are times when I think the portions of desserts should be more generous.
