Gift Certificates No Good?. Has anyone received an answer about gift certificates that cannot be used? Can we get our money back? Who do we talk to ? We enjoyed going to Julia's but we are very unhappy with the way they are treating their good customers by not posting any info on their front door as to where people can go or call about their gift certificates. I would appreciate hearing from anyone about this.
Upset. I have had many terrible experiences at Julia's and now my latest bad experience is that I have 2 gift certificates, and they are no longer opened. Does anyone know if they are going to reopen? or if people who have gift certificates are going to get their money back, or what? Thanks.
Julia good, Joe bad. I agree with several of these other comments. Julia is a very nice person, but she owns this business with her husband, who is the rudest person around. He has no business whatsoever working the reception desk. He's rude to customers AND employees, and doesn't have a clue about hair styling, esthetics or massage. I was both a customer and an employee and I saw this from both sides.
Best Day Spa in Indy.
The atmosphere at Julia's is the best of any day spa I have ever been to.
They are always on time, you don't have to wait and the service is great.
I have been to many salons and day spas but none of them can compare
to Julia's. I would recomend it to everyone. The staff is friendly and
professional and Julia always has a smile on her face and never
forgets a customer. She is the kindness most thoughtful and considerate
person I have ever met. If you or not happy with your hair she will work unti
you do. I can not stress enough what a wonderful person Julia is and what
a wonderful salon she owns. Again I recomend her to everyone.
Lovely Spa. Love this place...the staff is great!! For the lady with the burn from 7 minutes of tanning...why would you put one of the pros is tanning? Ya either like or it not choose one LADY! I had a great experience even during a completely busy day!!!
Wonderful Atmosphere/Great Staff. Julia the owner of Julia's Day Spa is a wonderful woman. I should know I'm her daughter. After reading the reviews I couldn't believe what I was reading. I have known her for 18 years and she is the most generous women I have ever met. These reviews say her business is only there to take your money. I assure you that is not the case. I actually have to tell her to stop giving away things. She has owned the business for ten years but have customers that have stayed with her for longer that 20 years. People come to that shop not only to get services but to see Julia. I know I am her daughter and should say these things about her but she works everyday of the week to make her business better. She treats her employees better than any boss I have ever known and she cares about the customers. I feel bad for the people that wrote these reviews they wrote them to hurt someone's business and to hurt a persons feelings. Julia gave that women a tan to try and make up for her being late. Which in hairdressing this ocassonaly happens because some clients hair is difficult and instead of Julia letting her clients go home upset she does there hair until its right. I can guarantee you that if you don't like your hair she'll A) Work on it till its right or B) You have a week to come back and get it re-done for free. THe women was also offered to come back with half off her hair service because Julia made her wait. I know this because I work there. I also want to apologize for the telephone caller we have a lot of sales calls so when they are out of state and its busy someone could have mistaken you for a sales call. We apologize for that. Julia does know how to run a business she has been doing it for more than ten years. She's a great women and if it were me I would go to her day spa because a Day Spa is meant to make the customer feel good. She puts in the time to make that happen and makes sure the staff treats you well.
Seriously disappointing. While they may offer lots of services, the service is below par. I have been tanning there for years, so I decided to try some of their other services. I walked in during a Friday afternoon, around one, when there were absolutely no other customers. I asked if I could get my nails done, and the nail tech acted as if I was putting her out by asking, even though she didn't have any appointments until 5:00 pm. When I got home, I realized my nails were uneven and much longer than I asked, so I ended ujp having to try and file them myseld. I went back another time, with an appointment, to get my hair done for an important event. When I showed up, 20 minutes before my appointment, I was told Julia was busy with a walk-in client and asked to sit. 45 minutes later, Julia asked me if I would like a free tan since I had been waiting, I infromed her that no, I just wanted my hair done. She told me she would be with her current client awhile longer. I asked why I had even bothered to book an appointment. After calling around to other salons, I could not find anyone available, so I continued to wait. I decided to take her up on the free tan, hoping it would relax me. Nope, 7 minutes in a regular bed burned me. When I finally got my hair done, I ended up looking like an 80s street walker, and had to go home and completely redo my hair as well as treat my fresh sunburn...
Need to go to business school. I have been going to Julia's for a few years now. I never really stayed long, all I used to do was tan. Over the past couple of years they have really expanded their business. They have added on more hair stylist and even massage rooms. The problem i have found is they have no business skills. Julia tries to run her salon as if it were only a tanning business. So personally if you like to tan and not have any pleasent interaction with the owners of an establishment, Julia's is for you. However, if you enjoy being treated as well as the dollar amount you are spending, Julia's has to be one of the biggest "rip offs" in this city. I highly recomend anyone take their business elseware. I understand there are some very nice spa's downtown were you get treated with respect.
Horrible Customer Service. Never do business with Julia's... I called from a NY cell phone # when visiting Indianapolis and she hung up on me twice because she thought I was calling her from a NY finance company. Are you kidding me? Where did you learn business etiquette???
Bad customer service. The owner did not book my services correctly. I wanted an hour massage and she give me a half hour. And when I tried to correct her, she told me I was wrong. However, it was her that was in the wrong and she did not offer me any discounts. She was rude and disrespectful. I will never go there again because of her.
