Fantastic jewelry and service! – I recently went to Barrington Jewels for the first time after being ignored at one of their competitors.
Every employee was extremely nice and helpful. I ordered a gemstone to replace a cracked stone in a setting I already had. Goel (the owner) ordered me several different gemstones to review.
My new stone looks amazing! Barrington honestly treated me like family. The girls are great to work with and I recommend them to everyone! Goel is a class act. Their jewelry is contemporary and modern too. Take a look for yourself!
Excellent! – I went to Barringtons Jewels at a recommendation from a friend and they were amazing! I was looking for both my wedding band and my fiance's. I knew my wedding band needed to be custom made to my engagement ring and they listened to what I wanted and made it within my budget. My fiance's ring I've been looking for a while and I couldn't find exactly what he wanted. I described the ring for them and they immediately knew what I was looking for. To make the ring within my price range they are custom making it. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience and I would definitely shop at Barrington Jewels again! I recommend everyone looking for jewelry to stop in!
Great Service, and Excellent Selection – I recently purchased a new ring From Barrington Jewels for my wife. it was a birth stone ring for Mother's Day. The ring I chose had a different colored stone, so I had to have the correct stone oredered, and a new ring created. The selection was excellent, and I was able to find a ring that was stunning, and at a reasonable price to boot. The sales person was curteous, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The stone came in when expected, and the ring was completed in a timely and perfect manner. In short it turned out beautiful. And my wife absolutely loved it. I would shop at Barrington again without hesitation. And I would highly recommend this jewelery store to friends, family, or anyone.
Best Customer Service I've ever had... – I recently purchased an engagement ring... I am so happy and love it, it will be treasured all my life and passed on through generations. Goel was so nice as was Lynn, they offered me something to drink etc.. very accomodating. They have the highest quality jewerly and they could customize it. I could pick from their diamonds and find one in my price range. I am so happy, I have found my experience with Barrington Jewels to be spot on... I will return and refer others to them. They were great!
Rubs your money for an incorrect Clarity! – I would give them a zero star, but I couldn't do that! A year and a half ago, my husband and I bought our engagement ring from Barrington. The owner gave us a written certificate stating an SI2 clarity and E color of the center diamond . A few months later, I noticed 2 big black spots on the ring, with naked eye, when I'm looking close enough. Based on the research I did about diamonds, inclusions seen in naked eye reveal an I Clarity and not SI2. I was very curious, so I had the main diamond graded in the GIA, which is The #1 reference in diamonds in the United States. GIA certification stated: Clarity I and Color F, both are a step down from what Barrington said and wrote in his certificate. I called the owner/manager, explained the situation, and asked for a compensation or a replacement of the main diamond with one that has the caracteristics we paid 14k for! He said: "I still agree on the clarity/color I gave you. And anyway, grading a diamond is subjective. Each place can grade it differently. Plus, your husband looked at it, liked it and agreed to buy it! There's nothing I can do now, after a year and a half." First of all, diamond grading is a science. This is why one has to study four years and go through a long experience to have the legal right to give a diamond grading certification. If you go to the GIA website, they show you the specific caracteristics of each of the diamond's clarities, and based on those caracteristics, a diamond clarity is judged SI2 or I. Only an uneducated or unexperienced or liar jeweler would give an untrue clarity. Plus, what are the chances that both color and clarity are different from the GIA's? Anyway, back on my conversation with Goel (the owner), I calmly (with effort) explained my disapproval to what he said. He interrupted me, got very mad, and said: "You know what, why don't you have your husband call me" and hang up on me!!!!!! Other than the fact that he wasn't willing on giving us any compensation, and the fact that he didn't even apologize, he hangs up on me! I haven't seen a business owner hanging up on a customer, especially that I was talking very calmly and with respect to him. What an unprofessional way to deal with customers! No work ethics, no conversational manners. This happened yesterday. The story will not end here for sure... I just wanted to warn customers to stay away from a pricy store that lies about his diamonds' clarity and color or maybe is incompetant to grade diamonds correctly and on top of that doesn't want to do anything about it, but hang up the phone on you, with a very sexist attitude!
Unique selection of items and helpful staff – I was pleasantly surprised to see a great variety of jewelry and watches that I had not seen at other jewelers. I love watches and their selection was wonderful. I purchased a Locman Italian watch that I fell in love with and they made me a deal I could not turn down.
Avoid Barrington Jewels at all cost! – We paid Barringington Jewels to make a "custom" wedding ring. The first ring looked good, but the diamond fell out. They attempted to fix it, but the ring came back looking like a child had made it. After several more attempts to "fix" it, they started from scratch. Long, LONG story short... After a full FOUR months of messing around with these people (and 6 weeks after our wedding), we finally just asked for our money back. There are plenty of jewelry stores in the Indy area... this is the worst of them.
