Tremendous family dinning – Trackside is a great family resturant. My family has been dining at Trackside since it opened several years ago. As a local businessman, Trackside is a great place to take clients for lunch or dinner. Unlike many chain resturants, you can actually carry on a conversation without having to raise your voice or strain to hear people at your table.

I would highly recommend Trackside to anyone that is interested in good food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Sometimes you can watch the train go by! – Does any one remember the classic movie "Fried Green Tomatoes"? I use to watch it all the time when I was little. I had never been to a place that served fried green tomatoes, until I ate here. And to my surprise, they were delicious! I've eaten at this restaurant several times since and have never had a bad experience with food or service. Their food is authentic and they have a wide variety of options for kids and adults. I would recommend the mac-n-cheese and the chicken pot pie. Yum!! They also have nice patio seating. I can't wait for warmer weather so I can sit out there. :-D

Good Local Restaurant – Me and the fiance eat there regularly. We enjoy the comfort food offered and the service provided. We see the same faces each visit. The restaurant has nice relaxed atmosphere. They offer excellent specials on occasions such as Valentine's Day and New Years. It is our favorite locally owned restaurant in town.

Much better than the Chain Restaurants – This is home cooking at its best. My favorites for lunch are the Chicken Pot Pie and the authentic Cuban Sandwich. You must try the homemade soups. Yum!! For dinner I like the Blackberry Tenderloin and the Chargrilled Salmon. The corn muffins are to die for. The owners Laura and Brett always make me feel at home at Trackside Grill. Great service.

Great food right next door! – My favorite thing about Trackside Grill is that you don't have to drive all way way to Atlanta / Buckhead to have a great meal with wonderful service. My husband and I always choose Trackside for a date night. They have a good wine selection and seasonal menus that are SO GOOD! My personal favorite is the Macaroni & Cheese. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the Knife & Fork Egg Sandwich for Sunday Brunch. I definitely recommend Trackside Grill to anyone who wants to try the best southern food around!

Good place to be a Regular – My wife and I are regular's at Trackside. It's nice to go to a place and the owner's remember your face and the staff is pleasant. Great selection of comfort food, good prices. The "fork and knife" sandwich for the sunday brunch could be the best breakfast meal I have eaten.

Great Location - Great Food- Great Service – My husband and I have been regular customers of Trackside Grill since it opened in 2003! We were both students at KSU and found its downtown Kennesaw location very convenient in between classes. The food is so delicious and unique (you won't find anything like this at the local chain restaurants!). Our personal favorites are the Fried Green Tomatoes, Chargrilled Salmon with collard greens and hopin John rice, Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich and the B&B Spinach Salad! You get great portions of food so if you can’t find enough room to order dessert after dinner, make sure you come back for a coffee cocktail and try some of the best Banana Bread Pudding ever! The atmosphere isn’t noisy like most restaurants in town and the outside patio makes for a great dining experience when the weather is nice. If you haven’t tried this friendly neighborhood restaurant yet don’t delay!

People is Kennesaw are so lucky! – The only thing that could make this restaurant better would be if it was in Alpharetta! The food is what I WISH I could make at home! The portions are so much that I get to take home and enjoy it again for lunch another day.

I COULD LIVE ON THE CORN MUFFINS ALONE!

We have always had super service, with very nice, attentive servers.

And, it is wallet-friendly...

Delightful Restaurant in downtown Kennesaw – This article was published in Northside News in Dec. 09:

If you’re tired of fast food and craving a homemade meal, but don’t have the time or energy to prepare it yourself, then head over to Trackside Grill in Kennesaw. You’ll have plenty options to satisfy your craving.

Owners Laura and Brett Olsezski have offered comfort classics for some time now, but they have recently expanded the selection because of numerous requests.

I asked Brett what comfort food means to him. He paused thoughtfully, said he would think about it, and get back to me. A few days later, he handed me a neatly typed sheet of paper with a couple of paragraphs about what it means to him. Here is what he wrote:

“I remember back in the day when my Mom would say, ‘Be home no later than 5:30 to set the table.’ Shortly after 6, I could hear my dad’s voice echoing across the neighborhood. I would jump on my bike (helmets were not yet required) and quickly pedal home. IT WAS SUPPERTIME!

The memories I have as a carefree eight-year-old eating my Mom’s favorite recipes define for me what comfort food is today. A grown-up in these tough economic times often feels stress juggling heavy workloads and busy families. When families get together to eat dinner, parents want to provide something soothing and warm and stress-free. Trackside Grill offers a straight forward approach to classic comfort food while adding our own contemporary twist that will please the entire family.”

I was impressed by his definition of comfort classic, and I think it really does define what Trackside Grill offers. The careful thoughtfulness and preparation he used in defining the word is indicative of the thoughtfulness and preparation of the food at Trackside.

The new entrée Pork Chops & Applesauce are made in “Shake and Bake” style and are served with house-made applesauce, asparagus spears, and good old macaroni and cheese. A classic favorite, Stroganoff, is kicked up a notch with Porcini mushrooms and meatballs and is served with garlic toast points.

Of course, the Southern pot roast tastes like Grandma has been cooking it all day. I may never cook again.

Some of the most popular comfort classics continue to be the Chicken Pot Pie, Country Fried Steak, and Buttermilk Fried Chicken. What’s not to like about those favorites?

The comfort classic theme has made its way onto the sandwich board, too. Remember the days of a grilled cheese and hot cup of tomato soup? Try Trackside’s “Grown-Up Grilled Cheese” made with aged cheddar, Swiss, and American cheese with Applewood smoked bacon and tomato on a buttered challah. Try it with a cup of soup; the soup of the day at Trackside is a real comfort to me. I particularly like Laura’s ham and bean soup, but the crab bisque is always good, too.

Other new entrees on the sandwich board include a Buffalo fried chicken sandwich, an “ultimate” French dip, and a chicken and rice wrap. You may now order most of the sandwiches at dinner, too, but you may want to try the chargilled salmon with a side of braised collard greens and hoppin’ John Carolina rice. I could eat the Hoppin’ John by itself with just a slice of cornbread and call it dinner.

Trackside is now offering a cup of soup or salad with any dinner entrée; it’s a nice touch and makes you feel very welcome. Just like home.
