Bad Managment.
READ THIS if you’re somebody who wants to avoid a BAD EXPERIENCE if you believe that a restaurant should have the basics (forks, knives, a table which doesn’t tip over) and if you believe that customer service should be exemplified at the top.
In short, six of us tried to have dinner at Jeremy’s and were stuck at a table that had more knives under it (wedged between the base and the stem)than on it. The purpose was to prevent the table from tipping over. The owner (Paula) knows this is a problem because she’s already ordered a new table. It’s on back order since four months. Why she doesn’t remove the table is still an open question. The fact that it’s on back order also doesn’t help anybody who’s actually sitting at it. And the fact that we mentioned it to her made us in her words “obnoxious”. When we asked several members of her staff (Paula was too mad at us for bringing up the issue of a broken table which she already knows about) if this was a known problem, all of them said, “we know, sorry” (Paula couldn’t get that far).
While the food was good and the service not bad, the table prevented us from actually being able to eat our dinner. It wobbled back and forth so much that we thought about taking turns cutting our food as to not apply too much pressure at once in the fear of having it break.
Had Paula offered anything (a bottle of wine, a dessert…here are some ideas for future incidents), we would have felt a little taken care of. Sorry Paula, you really missed out on an opportunity to take the feedback and try to make it better. But it was clear from your inability to actually listen, that customer service is not a part of your DNA.
Had we sat at another table, this would have never happened. But we did. And you might get stuck there too. So in order to avoid a negative experience, I strongly suggest taking your money somewhere else so you can enjoy a meal with all of the basics included – customer service and a stable table being two of them.
Slow service, poor management.
Our waiter (who was drinking that night) was hard to find, and very slow. Forgot the flatbread until after the meal showed up. Two of the four entrees our party ordered were cold.
When we questioned a charge on the bill, the waiter's answer was unsatisfactory, so we asked to speak to the manager. First, we were told the manager would be out shortly. Then, we were told she left. Then, we were told the chef was part-owner, and he would be out to speak to us. After waiting another 15 minutes, a different member of the waitstaff came by to deliver the same unacceptable answer as our waiter, and also to tell us the owner would not be out to see us.
Why is the management afraid to talk to the customers?
Save your evening. There are many, far better restaurants in the area.
Don't expect a good meal or service. For the price I would have expected much better quality food and service. A simple chicken breast was dry, hard and flavorless. When the waiter finally did return to ask if our food was to our liking my spouse was 3/4 finished. When I told him about the condition of the chicken he merely shrugged and did not return again except to give us the bill. We had even told him that we were celebrating my birthday and he did not even wish me a happy birthday. The cost was exorbitant. I won’t be back and suggest you don’t waste your money.
Exceptional Value. I went to dinner with friends and enjoyed the meatloaf with fall veggies and my wife loved her chicken which was stuffed with spinach and served with a sage butter sauce. Both dishes were under $23. Great deal.
Great value in this terrible economy. jeremy restaurant is great because the food is quite delicious and priced resonabley well. i took business partners in and enjoyed the fresh sole and fresh salmon. we also had the nickel and nickel syrah which was rich and delicious.
Delicious, delicious, delicious. the seafood chowder is brimming with fresh seafood. Do not miss. The wine list is moderrn and very reasonably priced. I fwould say Jeremy is a great value
It was a Cold One. The service was slow. My burger was cold, the crab cakes had no crab and cold. The live music good, but stopped playing at 9:00pm. We did enjoy the onion rings and the flat bead was perfect.
Great food, great service. My wife and I entertained four guests at Jeremy. The cuisine was simply outstanding. The service was impeccable.
Excellent Food and Service.
My wife and I thought we'd try Jeremy for our 10-year Anniversary dinner. We stopped in on a Friday night with no reservations. That did not seem to be a problem, and they seated us on the patio at our request. We started with Calamari for an appetizer and Sangria to drink. Both were excellent! The calamari was fresh, and not rubbery. I'd highly recommend it. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin Medallions, and my wife ordered the Chicken Paladian. I ordered mine Medium. The chef recommended Medium-rare on other dishes, so it wasn't a surprise when one of my medallions was Medium and the other was Medium-rare. It was excellent and great flavor. My wife's chicken was excellent, vegetables were crisp and not soggy, and overall had great flavor. Presentation was excellent for everything. Our bill came to $100, which seemed right for the excellent food we enjoyed! Free valet parking was nice, though the valet wasn't there to greet us at the door when we arrived.
Overall, excellent atmosphere, spot-on pricing, really really good food!
Great Dining Experience. I love this restaurant. The menu is seasonal and ever so tasty. The fresh summer catch is worth getting everytime. I can't wait to return
