If you looked this up to get an honest review of this company than here you have one. My name is Mike Cagle. The Gastonia rainbow office averages showing 900 to 1000 customers a month and sell any where from 250-300 rainbows a month. That being said, we need more reviews on this page. Here is my honest review. I bought a rainbow in 1997 and was told that I could come into the rainbow business part time and show 20 demos and the company would give me a free rainbow that I could in turn sale and get the full price on that sale. So I did, did the 20 demos, got the free one, sold it and I got paid. I had a full time job at Freightliner in Gastonia and had planned on retiring from there so I didn't continue with the rainbow business. In 2003 my wife agreed to look at the new rainbow to help out her cousin get a free air cleaner. It told her ok but we weren't gonna buy one no matter how good the sales person made it sound. WE DID. After buying I asked him if they still had the program to get a free one. He said it had changed to 21 demos. So I got back in part time. I went out my first weekend and showed 7 of my friends and 5 bought. I made a little over $2000 my first 2 days. I was still working at Freightliner. My first month with Rainbow I made a little over $6000. The second month around $4000, the third month little over $5000.. I quit my job at Freightliner and started selling Rainbows full time, that was in June 2003. It's March 2014 now. I still love the rainbow business. It's the best cleaning system on the market. This office shows over 12000 people a year the fantastic Rainbow cleaning system and we sale around 4-5000. We have less than 20 reviews. Whats up people. It's time to be honest. Out of that many customers we have got to have happy customers somewhere. It's time to chime in. Go to Rainbow of Gastonia on Facebook . See the truth.
To say the people that run THIS Rainbow store are the biggest jerks is an understatement. Will never go back there.
We love our Rainbow Vacuum have owned several, and will not own anything else. We have found a store in Concord and cannot praise this guy enough, he has been there over 17 years and will do anything in the world to take care of us.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN – So much for that 20 yr warranty. My rainbow vacuum stopped picking up so I took to Gastonia Rainbow, they were horrible and the Morganton office was worse. Told me I should have read the manual, I believe that if I am going to pay $2000 for something, The salesman should have went over maintenance of the product!!! I love the vacuum itself, however, I will NEVER work with the Gastonia Rainbow again!!! They need training in customer service!!!!! RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!!!!!!!!
Extremely horrible customer service!!!!!! – My husband and I bought a rainbow vac but due to issues with living in a house built in the 1920's, the circuit kept tripping. So trying to be intelligent and return with in the 3 day policy we called the office to tr to return in and were treated horribly. The owner was the most unprofessional person I have ever met. He was rude and condescending and wouldn't hardly let me get a word in edge wise. I would never recommend anyone dealing with this awful distributer.
Deception at its best – Anyone dealing with these salespeople- beware they use tactics to lure you in to buying, with a 3 day only return policy. They stay within the law and do not break any, but they are very sneaky and will pretend to be on your side to get the sale. Make sure you really do your research and that you want this brand of machine. Watch out for the sneaky sales pitches, they are really good at this tactic, but they are careful not to break any laws. Just be careful to not get suckered... They are in the business to sell as many as possible using any tactics they can.
Horrible Company – First of all I will say the Rainbow product is the best I've seen...however, I used to work for these guys in Gastonia and they are horrible! I quit because all they do is lie- to customers, to their employees, or whoever! The "gas voucher/drawing" is a lie to get names out of people. The trip is not just a hand over free trip. This company has no morals whatsoever. The extended warranty the give you as a "throw-in" is VERY limited. Be aware of who you are dealing with!!!!
Rainbow Vacuum Cleaners Rexair – Extremely Bad Customer Service at the home office. I was thinking about buying a Rainbow Vacuum and researched the web on comments posted by previous owners. After reviewing all the negative reviews, I decided to call the home office and spoke with Michelle, at customer service, she gave me a distributor in Gastonia called Loken Technologies. I called the number she gave me and it was out of serviced so I searched the web for the distributor to find out that this company does not exist. So I called the local distributor, Rainbow Vacuum in Gastonia, and was told that they are the only distributors of this area and didn't know why I was told differently. So I called Michelle back and she out and out right lied about giving me Loken Technologies phone number and address. I couldn't believe what I was hearing from her and how rude and disrespectful she was, in fact she hung up on me. If this is how they act when they make a mistake with a phone number and address, how do they react when they have to deal with problems with their vacuums. After speaking with Michelle, I will never deal with Rainbow Vacuums and a word of caution, read and believe what people are saying about Rainbow Vacuum's customer service, IT IS SO TRUE.
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE - RUDE EMPLOYEES – Customer Service at this place is horrible. Once they make the sale - forget it. Anything else they promise you during the demo to get you to buy is just another gimic to get you to give them more business. The Free gas voucher and free vacation is not as it appears either. It's a reimbursement plan where you have to pay up front and then they
give you back the money (yeah, right). The system is good but extremely expensive. Dont think these people appreciate the fact that you put commission in their pocket or that you bought their product - any of the free gifts they offer will never show up. The list of a dozen or so names that we gave as potential customers with 4 confirmed as sitting for a demo don't get you anywhere either. 3 of our 4 cancelled and refused to reconsider after their scheduler was rude and arrogant over the phone. After being promised for almost 3 months that we would still get our gifts becuase it wasn't our fault, but the fault of one of their employees that our people cancelled and that we had done our part, that we were a good paying customer it ended with the owner shouting at me over the phone saying his people dont make folks mad because they are in the sales business!.It was our friends who let us down and he wasn't going to give us anything. So much for being a good paying customer. Oh yeah, and don't make the mistake of financing either. Its a credit account in your name, just like a regular credit card, and you can't return the merchandise to them, so you're stuck, even it you don't like it. Just another way they cover their rear ends.
