Can anyone make a sandwich around here? – Unfortunately the only deli in Clintonville and I hate it. I used to love this place like 6 years ago. The salads and bagels are ok, but forget about anything else. 2 visits ago, I ordered the same wrap i always got and loved, however this time it had literally one slice of pastrami on it. As a chef, I never complain about food at restaurants, but I was fed up this time. I asked what happened to the wrap and the way it used to be, and was basically told to screw off by an employee with bad hygiene. Thought I'd give them another try, and earlier this week ordered a sandwich comparable to a cold italian sub, and it was horrifying. Anyone who thinks this place is good is clearly clueless. Sheep. Tools.
Great Sushi, Amazing Bagels, Friendly Service. – This place is another hidden jewel in Columbus:
They are doing a great job on bagels. We have tried hot Bagels (e.g. the tuna melt, pizza bagel or the portabella melt) as well as cold ones (e.g. the Mediterranean or a classic BLT) - they are all very recommendable.
They have delicious Sushi, freshly made; on the sushi menu you will find all the usual suspects.
They offer salad bowls which they combine to your order from the buffet while you watch and choose and they mix the dressing exactly as you like it. We have often had the salad and shared one of the hot bagels. A great lunch!
Their coffee (usually two flavored choices and regular) is really good, you can grab a mug and help yourself to free refills. Their iced tea from the fountain is unsweetened (wonderful!) and they are experimenting with a variety of flavors.
This place is your lunch or early dinner choice, definitively. It is not fancy (but very clean), the atmosphere is relaxed and the owners (an Asian couple) are taking pride in their work. So eat local and support our Clintonville neighborhood!
