Inept and rude. They let my guest and her young child (a wedding) wait on the shuttle bus for a ride back to the hotel well over 1 hour. When I called the office simply to ask why, I got a screaming, cursing owner who told me to get lost. There are other limo services available....check them out but suggest you don't use these guys if you want good service.
This was the worst shuttle service I've ever experienced, EVER! I called for service 4 hours in advance of my flight around 2:30 for a 7:00 pm international flight. They sent the shuttle 1 ½ later which was okay, it should get me to the airport by 5:00 pm. But on my way to the airport, the driver received a call from the dispatcher to pick up another fare. The fare was in the opposite direction of the airport and further than my hotel. By the time we picked them up, and headed back to the airport it was 5:30. At 5:40, we PASSED MY HOTEL AGAIN on the way to the airport! And because it was rush hour, what should have been a 40 minute ride took over 2 ½ hours. I got to the airport at 6:55! Needless to say, I missed my flight and there were no more flights for the night. I had to hustle to get a hotel and call international on my cell phone incurring roaming and long distance charges calling my travel agent at home after hours to book another flight the following day. I had to pay my sitter to stay with my kids overnight.
But that wasn’t the worst part. The worst part was that I called Tropiano to get an explanation and I was told by a gentleman named Ray, “well, that’s the chance you take when you hire a shuttle. We can’t guarantee that you will get to your destination at a particular time, if you wanted guaranteed service, you should have hired a private ride”. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! The next day I called to speak to the owner, Nick Tropiano, but got his voicemail. I left a message. In fact it’s been almost a week and I have left several messages for Mr. Tropiano and I have yet to receive one single call.
This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I just want to caution others before spending $40 US on this company that obviously does not care about people and does not want to take responsibility for the actions of their employees. Their lack of compassion and poor judgement has cost me close to $3000 (so far). If you value your hard earned money, PLEASE DO NOT USE TROPIANO. They do not stand by their service and they don’t care about you.
All of the negative reviews are correct They do not care about any of there customers or employees. Equipment is dangerous, dispatchers call customers aholes every time they hang up the phone (if they even answer). Nick and his crew (family members) are a bunch of crooks. They do not pay their bills they owe everybody (including their employess)
Drivers are great because they have to be to get tips since their payroll checks bounce. Yes I am a former employee Nov 2012 last 3 paychecks bounced NSF Hopefully at some point the IRS DOT and BBB will take a close look at this outfit
The worst phone manners, I called to get a quote on a shuttle and was given an attitude when I said I'll call back (which is what a quote is, not a reservation). I called back after 15 minutes and was told by the exceptionally rude women that the shuttle was no longer available. She said "you should've booked it when we were first doing it", which again, was 15 minutes before. Never, ever call here
Be Careful with them – Local drivers are great. Dispatcher was rude. Nick was even more rude. Find another company.

Who Doesn't this piece of sh*t NOT owe money?
Infuriating! After 25 years, will never use again. – I had been using this service since 1986. They used to be very professional and courteous, but alas, within the last few years service has seriously gone to the dogs. The drivers are pretty nice, but the front line people who take reservations and dispatch seem to be burned out or hate their jobs, because they are absolutely horrendous with the customers.
I travel to Philadelphia a few times a year, and this time I made a reservation to be picked up at the airport. When I called the dispatch, I was told it would be 20-30 minutes. When it turned into an hour, and I was obviously annoyed, I called and would be put on hold by the dispatcher and made to wait several times for more than 5 minutes, would have to call over and over just to be "ignored". The guy, who I found out is named Harold, told me if I wanted faster service I should have hired a private car and that I shouldn't complain, since people without reservations typically wait 2-3 hours. What??? I wouldn't brag about that!!!
To make things worse, when I called Nick, the owner the next day to give him feedback, rather than apologizing and thanking me for the info, he gets all hostile, saying everyone loves Harold, (so what's my problem, right?) and that he has a stressful job. And when I ask him if he has considered changing his process so the dispatcher is not the one answering the customer, he gets all "This is my successful business, who are you to tell me how to run things" and I wound up hanging up because he was absolutely ridiculous.
What ever happened to common courtesy and a sense of service excellence? I guess he has customers aplenty, doesn't need the ones who have been patrons for over two decades and who care enough to try to give him insight like me. Never again.
Atlantic City OUT OF BUSINESS! PA next? – Yo Mama must be correct. The Atlantic City operation has been shut down. I also find it interesting that Nicholas Tropiano only took exception to Yo's prediction of business closure. The statements about vehicle condition and passing bad checks must be accurate.
We received excellent service – I recently used Tropiano based on a recommendation from someone. I was nervous because of the reviews I saw here. Tropiano on time the city and transported out to a camp in Horsham and then completed the ound trip the next day..also on time. I would recommend them!
