HORRIBLE! I too had the older woman who dug into my cuticles (pedicure). She trimmed my toenails and cut my left big toe all the way down to the quick. PAINFUL! Nothing about this pedicure was pleasant. They charge more than other nail salons, and for a $25 "Spa Pedicure" wouldn't treat my calluses. This is the first time EVER that a pedicure didn't include callus treatment. When I pointed out that she hadn't done anything with the calluses, she said "Five Doller More!" WTF??! I'll be surprised if I don't get an infection and an ingrown toenail. Not to mention they had a tiny, little girl WORKING in there refilling bottles with acetone, sealer, etc. She couldn't have been more than 5 years old. Shameful all the way around.
Good for the Price – I was honestly very surprised when I read all the bad reviews of this place. I have been going since 2011 and I am generally very pleased with them. I get biweekly manicures as well as opregular pedicures and eyebrow waxing. The salon is clean and the staff is generally very nice (although I have had one or two experiences winery a member has had a bit of an attitude). I also read several reviews complaining that the employees cut nails too short. Now I may be old fashioned, but if a service man orr woman is pnt doing what you like, TELL THEM so they can correct the problem. Anyways, for the low price this salon is great and their hours are splendid for those of us who are students or who work. I wprefularly recommend it and I don't know what everyone else was complaining about.
Filthy Nail Salon – This is the most disgusting nail salon I have ever been in and that is the least of my complaints! First of all, when I walked in all the employees were either sitting with their feet up reading or talking on cellphones. When they did acknowledge me they had me pick a color and then I sat for my pedicure with an older Asian woman who seemed put out that she had to do her job. She continuously nipped my cuticles and made me bleed, she then polished my nails with old polish that actually NEVER dried. She dripped polish on my boots during my manicure, hoped I didn't see it and then rolled her eyes when I called her out on it. I would rather pay twice what I did then to get the poor customer service, poor quality of service not to mention the slovenly conditions that I got at US Nails.. Stay away save your money, go somewhere else. I for one will be contacting the health department. Buyer beware!!!!!
Horrible – I used their service before and never went back. I went there today because I received a gift card from there for Christmas. I went in on Dec. 31, 2011and asked for Gel Nails. Today I went back for a fill and was told I had Schlack Nails not Gel. I paid $35.00 for Gel and recevied a $20.00 service. I had never had gel so I did not know the difference until today. I had the gel nails done today and they were so thick that I could not stand them. I went back within a 1/2 hour and asked if they could be thinner. The only girl that speaks English told me they could not be thinner because they would split. My own nails are under the gel so why would they split? She wanted to argue so I asked that they remove the gel and I would leave. The gentleman that did my nails said he could thin them out. He did such a crappy job that I will NEVER go back.
Horrendous – Please do not come here. This place should get negative 10 stars. They were open on Sunday, unlike my favorite place, and I was desperate, so I ignored the other reviews on this site to my deep regret later on. I made an appointment for a 2PM Pedicure. I sat with my feet in very tepid (almost cold) water for almost 30 minutes and finally was taken care of. She did apologize for my wait, but then proceeded to never look at what she was doing. Her "massage" of my legs and feet was painful, the paraffin was too hot and the worst thing of all was the gouging that occurred with instruments around my cuticles. The next day my big toe is red and swollen around the place with the deepest gouge, and as I apply antibiotic cream, I can only hope that it doesn't become infected. My pedicurist practically demanded a tip, and I gave one that was less than I would usually give, but now I wish I'd refused to pay for the whole thing. I am going to call the health dept. and the Better Business Bureau today. I am furious, disappointed and my toe is throbbing. Please stay away and tell your friends to stay away. They need to close their doors.
worst place on this planet – I went in the other day. Too bad--i should have walked out. The woman cut two of my cuticles until they bled-they still hurt almost 2 weeks after. Then she had the nerve to ask for a tip-of course why should i tip with lousy service. I should have walked out but endured her nasty treatment. Do not go to this salon if you value your cuticles or fingers!
Not good anymore. – I originally posted a rave review for this salon in 2008. The service and work done used to be amazing. I was on duty for a little over a year, and when I came back I was stoked to get a pedicure done here.
I did what I used to do 1-2 times a month: called 30 minutes in advance asking if they had room for me. They took down my name and said they would see me then. When I arrived, the women working looked at me and then chose to ignore me. After awkwardly standing in the doorway for a few minutes, finally one of them asked what I wanted. I said that I had called half an hour ago to come in for a pedicure. She looked at me like I was crazy, looked on a paper nearby her, then told me it would be a few minutes.
So I sat there and waited. The women working kept looking over and staring at me. Maybe if you quit looking at me and concentrated on your work, you wouldn't take forever? Next thing I new it was almost 30 minutes since I had arrived. I didn't have time to wait all day, so I called a place down the street asking them if they would take a walk in. Left US Nails to go down to this place down the street.
I don't know what happened, but this service was a 360 degree opposite of what it was like a few years ago. Too bad, but there are better places for less money these days.
