Some issue in managemnt and service.Owners should look! – We went there recently and time was evening and I had finaly time to take my wife out, after no time off for long time.We love there portions and decided to go and have nice dinner. We arrived and host came out to offer table to us,we decided to seat on main floor, because we never been in that area, then we told him table for two, young kid, aprox 20's and with big hair, kinda Afro, told us that he has a some tables clean, aprox 4 to choose from, but when we decided to go for far down in room,he said O sorry Its my fault, they are still dirty.Turned OUT only 2 tables available in room, then we said OK and set there.Waiters came and introduced herself on talk speedas for auctioneer and attitude of Fast food place waitress not a Italain restaurant. She gave menu and expected us to say in two minutes our order.I said can we take a few minutes and then she offered drinks. We said water and NO ICE in it,even she should ask before if we wanted or not, that is Italian place rule. She brought back two waters, with ICE and put it.I just wanted to say,NO ice again, when she said O no ice you said!Yeah I said so!Bread is very short and untipical for italian place.Saving on clients,Owners????We ordered one cream soda, but she charged for two and what a coincidence, but some guys next to our table, had ordered one,but not cream soda, similar. She was holding that whe delievered one to us.If she can not remember two tables to serve, then her job is somewhere else, and she charged as 5 extra and played DUM when we called her to talk about overcharge. Some people should rethink who they hire in there, because we have been there before and had nice experience upstairs. Also on there walls they have some inapropriate photos, like boobs and seating next to it with your family is not comfortable,I guess some limits should take a place.I like many photos but managment should check again and remove some.I also think last year when I was there, pizza was small and over baked,so I will never order pizza again.

Used to be good – We were frequent diners of Buca's in Chicago. When we moved to Utah we were thrilled to find out there was one in Salt Lake. This go around it was my daughters birthday. We ordered the prosciutto stuffed chicken, a large, hoping it would feed 2 adults and 3 small children (the menu says it would feed up to 6). For $32 you hope you get a lot of chicken. We were sorely disappointed. We got 3 stuffed chicken breasts which barely fed us and left us wanting more. That was a large! I wonder what a small is like. Also, they were very skimpy on the bread. What is an Italian dinner without a lot of bread?

We won't be going back to Buca's as there prices have gone up and their portion sizes have gone down. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because it is still very authentic tasting and the atmosphere is nostalgic.

Every aspect of dining out was excellent – The decor was entertaining. We had a party of 14. The advice from the chief about what and how much to order for such a large party was accurate. We ranged fro grandparents to grandchildren. Everyone was happy with the food.

Get cozy with friends and family and enjoy an Italian feast at this loved-by-locals restaurant. – In Short
Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon Appetito!

Rude management overshadows great food – We dined at this location with a group of 20 for a university student group function on April 26th. The food was wonderful, service excellent?up until it came time to pay. I had been informed several times, while making reservations in advance, that the restaurant accepted university purchase orders. The hostess even put me on hold to double-check this information. I was instructed to let the server know about the P.O. prior to the meal, which I did. When the bill came, the server accepted the purchase order, only to return a few minutes later to ask if it was a form of payment. He then mentioned that they only accepted them for University functions, to which we explained that it indeed was. We then had the manager come to the table to tell us that they do not accept purchase orders at all.

After discussing options, we returned to the manager and explained that we had been told several times that purchase orders were accepted, otherwise we never would have taken that route. He proceeded to give several visibly insincere apologies and mentioned that in his five years with the company they had never accepted them. He further made it clear that there was nothing he would do and we were left to foot the $160 bill. No efforts were made on his part to accommodate our group in any way. The wait staff, however, did attempt to work something out, which was obviously prevented by said manager.

The treatment that we received from this manager was far from acceptable in the realm of customer service. His behavior reflected very poorly on the restaurant in my eyes and as a result I would advise people, especially those with large groups, to avoid this location.

bleh – It was pretty busy, the service wasn't very good, which, is understandable on a busy night. The staff was quite friendly, but it took nearly twenty minutes for a refill and the food was almost an hour wait. It is not nearly good enough to charge $30 a plate. For that kind of food, I don't think I would spend more than five. If your seeking good Italian, try elsewhere.

Gross and cheap – Food tasted like cheap frozen food reheated. The only thing that was good was the eggplant parmesean but it wasn't that good. I came with a large party so I sampled quite a few things on the menu. Fun idea to have group dining, but this place was no bueno. Food was very mediocre.
