Unorganized and Rude – I had an afternoon appt. I showed up on time and was immediately greeted with "we are overbooked".. (Don't make the appt then). When I first walked in there was a dress hanging on the manequin that I wanted to try on. They said no. Luckily for me my friend was there to help me because we had to pull the dresses off ourselves, I had to put them on myself, my friend had to button me up, and then we had to put them back where we found them. They didn't help me AT ALL! I did find a few pretty dresses though so when it was time to leave I asked who made the dresses and where I could view them online as I like to send them to my family to get their opinion. They said they didn't know who made the dresses and wouldn't give me any information about them like other shops do. (Liar) How do they order them?
When I came back with my mom for my 2nd time to show her the dresses, they didn't have any of my information. Denise told me to go through all the dresses again. They are very rude and unprofessional. Beware of good reviews as the owner Cathy is posting them herself.
Not a great experience – This store has a lot of pretty options but I felt uncomfortable with the sales tactics. I did find a dress that was quite pretty at this store. The dress was at the high end of the budget. I was also told that the dress would need about $300 in alterations. Although it was over budget, I was pretty decided upon this dress, until the sales pitch began. As I was taking the dress off, the saleslady came over and said "I JUST found out that this gown is going out of style. However, they can make one more, just for you, but it's going to cost $100-$200 more". I thought that was kind of sketchy...why did the price suddenly go up? I said "well if they are making one more, just for me, then I won't need alterations, right?" (because I figured if it was made "just for me" then it would be made for my measurements). The saleslady said that I would still need the alterations. So that was a bit frustrating. It seemed like they were just trying to squeeze another $200 out of me. I left without making a decision, because I really needed to think about whether or not I wanted to go $500 over budget. The saleslady called me the next day, and left a message saying that she figured out a way to get the dress down in price. That was nice to hear, but it just seemed a little weird--like if I had bought the dress 1 day earlier, then I would have paid way too much. I wondered if I waited another day if the price would keep going down (it didn't). I didn't end up buying the dress because the sales tactics just frustrated me so I decided to have a dress custom made instead.
Don't do it – Please do not give your hard earned money to this Bothell location.
They will take your money, upsell you on everything and then ignore you. Try and leave a voice mail on the ancient answering machine, don't think for one moment they will actually call you back. Assume electronic communications are fool proof and you would be wrong. You can send that email but nothing says they have to answer in a timely (if ever) manner. If you are lucky enough to have someone pick up they will tell you they are busy and will call you back at a certain time. Don't be fooled - it will never happen.
The sales person even hung up on me when I pointed you she had never called back in a timely (ie same day) manner or when she had said she would. Customer service only extends to the next unfortunate bride not to those who have already been parted from their funds.
The prices are not low enough to put up with the attitude. DON"T DO IT
good a-line dress selection, HORRIBLE service!!! – During my engagement I purchased a Gown, Veil, Tiara, Strapless Bra, Garter, Pettie Coat, Cap Sleeves from here, so I interacted w/them MANY times.
Wow. I cannot urge you/anybody you know NOT to use this place! If I explained all of the problems I had w/them it would take 2 pages, at least that is what it took when I wrote the owner. I wanted to give them a chance to make it right, but instead she said that she thinks it was all "beyond their stores control" (LOL)and said it sounds like all she could give me was an apology since "the wedding was over."
I had complained to the store manager during my engagement and was never given a discount. The short of it is that the items I had problems with were: my dress color and size, veil color and arrival, voicemails not getting returned, all of my information being "lost", waiting 15-80 minutes for schedules appointments, receiving multiple calls after my wedding that were for someone else.
Please make your wedding planning less stressful and do not shop here!
To who have written bad reviews to Princess Bride: – Are you sure that you are talking about the right "Princess Bride"?
There is one shop in Renton also called "Princess Bride."
Some of the reviews seems like not matching to the description of the right "Prince Bride" in Bothell.
I got my dress in Bothell store, and they did great job on my dress. They had good customer services and excellent suggestions for me. My experience there was great.
I was just suprised that they got so many bad reviews...
No to Princess Bridal, Yes to Bridal Garden – I bought a dress from Princess Bridal at the Seattle Wedding Show. The gown was much too big for me, and I wanted the train removed, but they told me it would not be a problem and quoted $200 in alterations costs. I was told later that it would be $500 just to remove the train, and that the other alterations would be $300. They asked for the price in full, but we gave them $150-- hoping to pay once we saw the alterations (like with most tailoring.) I needed a lighter dress-- without the train--and decided to part with my (huge) dress. They refused to refund the $150 in alterations even though nothing had been done to the dress-- absolutely nothing. I never asked to return the dress-- obviously a sale dress cannot be returned-- yet they didn't even offer to show me a new dress. They were smug and made remarks about my chances of selling the dress online-- another great sales pitch: "if you can sell your dress online, then you're a better salesperson than we are." This after I bought a dress from them. Please do not give Princess Bridal your business. It's a strange and depressing store, and they only care about making a sale. Instead, go to the Bridal Garden in Kirkland where the owner truly cares about you and the way you will look at your wedding. I wish I'd gone there first.
Horrible Place – Worst bridal place ever!!! They made us pay a deposit over the phone just to come in and look at the dresses. They ordered several of our dresses in the wrong size just to make us pay for alterations. Bride's dress came in only a few days before the wedding with a large spot on it, and they couldn't care less. They ever ordered the wrong veil. If you go here, you will regret it for sure. Rudest people.
Worst Bridal Shop – I had a horrible experience trying on dresses at this "store". It is actually a house in the middle of nowhere and we had to knock to enter which was so weird. The living room is set up as a make shift store and you have to walk down a hallway to show your friends/family the dresses when you try on. The person who helped me was really pushy and every dress I put on they tried to start pinning so I would feel pressured to buy it. I told them that we had been to a lot of stores that day and they pretty much quit helping me at that point. The man that helps run the store was really creepy and I didn't find a single dress that was worth the time. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Don't waste your time! – The customer service leaves much to be desired!
The owner of this establishment needs to take both a business class as well as a course on etiquette.
I made an apt. and was largely ignored- along with being shoved in a little room with 7 other women with windows that did not have window coverings that ensured privacy!
Furthermore, the owner was rude and unprofessional and the staff seemed poorly trained.
Lastly, the dresses are mediocre.
