Just an Amazing Thai Experience for the whole family me & 3 kids (12,7 & 3) Thai Me Up was clean and the prices were fair. The staff was kind and on-point with the service, refills & extra napkins when needed. RestSatay Chicken is delicious and the moussaman Curry was the best I ever had!!! I also reccoment the coconut icecream with the warm sticky rice- TDF!!! We will be back!!!

Not recommended – I was very underwhelmed by my meal. It was very bland and greasy. I had the pad thai which basically consisted of tastless noodles, grease, and a few funky tasting shrimp. It was like a watered down version of real thai for people who don't like flavor. I would not go again.
Best Pad Thai in Pittsburgh – Have been to several Thai restaurants in Pittsburgh and this on is the first on my list. If you are looking for Great food and a comfortable and very casual scene. This is the place to be.
You use the word pretentious to describe others, that I assume you are attempting to disassociate yourself from, yet you used the word delish.
Great South Side Secret – The lemongrass soup is WONDERFUL. Since most of the restaurants popping up all over Carson St. seem to be full of pretentious people eating pretentious food, I am thankful for places like Thai Me Up. In addition to the Lemongrass soup, the Thai Me Up Rolls and Spicy Basil Noodles are delish. YUM.
BEST DRUNKEN NOODLES – They have some very very good and cheap Thai food. My favorite is the Drunken Noodles w/ Tofu, a little oily but very tasty. A must try!

A single waitress rushes around to keep up with orders, yet the budget conscious foodies don't seem to mind. Instead, they dig into appetizers like spicy carrot salad with shrimp and mint beef salad before moving onto a main entree of Thai spaghetti with curry or pineapple-fried rice.
