Sashimi that rivals, New York, Las Vegas, and L.A.. I travel in my job and get to eat sushi/sashimi all over the country. This place is definitely in the top 5 nationwide.

I like sashimi tuna, yellowtail, white tuna and unagi (eel). With all due respect to the other reviews, I don't think that you can judge a sushi bar by it's California roll-the same type of roll that you can buy at Kroger.

If you want a great roll, work up some sense of adventure and try the Osaka Dragon roll. You will not be dissappointed. The scallop selections are excellent as well.

Excellent food, friendly and attentive staff.. This was my first Japanese steakhouse experience and it was excellent! The wait was not too bad- about 20 minutes on a Saturday night. The chef was entertaining and the food was very, very good! The wait staff was attentive; I never had to ask for a refill because they were right on top of it! Overall a great experience. I will definitely be going back!

Sushi is not anything to brag about. First of all I want to say that the interior of the restaurant is really cool, and the staff all seemed very nice and professional...

After being a regular customer at Shogun in both Sterling Heights and Macomb, I thought I'd give the sushi at Osaka Japanese Steakhouse a try. Not good. The spicy tuna was just okay, but the California roll was bad; it was really dry and salty, and tasted as if I was eating lump crab meat right out of a can. Not to mention, the seaweed wrap (Nori) was really chewy and tough, more so than it should be.

I will not frequent this place again for sushi, however if I did go back I'd give the Hibachi a try ...

Osaka Owner's Son. Hey guys!

For some of you guys are aware, we do not take reservations on Saturday for that same night. Only exceptions are if there is a spot in for the time you want. I have moved up from a bus boy to a bartender. Look for me, i'm the crazy haired bartender that is most likely to be sweaty and too busy making drinks =].

moresushi. I used to visit more frequently, however, they have had a recent changeover in sushi cheffs, and the quality has been a little off.

Rich with authentic flavor and atmosphere, Osaka is a delight for patrons looking for a true Japanese dining experience. Adorned with authentic art and artifacts, the spacious dining area is cozy without feeling crowded. An appetizer of golden brown gyoza (pan-fried dumplings) is an excellent start. Follow it with a helping of lightly battered and deep-fried soft shell crab. There is also a fully stocked sushi bar, with saba and ika being local favorites.
