dissappointing – If you are looking for a great steak do NOT go here. We ordered the top steaks and they were both extremely over done. We sent them back only to have new ones brought that were, once again, overdone. Even though we ordered medium rare they were burnt. In addition, they had no flavor. Worse than something you could make at home on your Foreman grill. The salads and sides were okay, but nothing spectacular. The lobster bisque tasted like it came from a can. The service was good though. Perhaps it could be okay for an average night out. There were some less expensive items on the menu that may have been just fine. If you are looking for a fancy or special dinner, look somewhere else.

Raising the bar at Channelside, this chic grill brings enchanting waterside dining to downtown. – The Scene
Grille 29 has started strong, drawing a chic see-and-be-seen throng every night. The gentle buzz of the crowd at the bar does little to dampen the aura of romance in the moody dining room. Copper- and pewter-colored raw-silk cornices, mirrored columns and tiny blown-glass sconces conspire to throw dappled, flattering light around the huge space.

The Food
Before your steak, order the zingy Caesar or a dusky, thyme-scented French onion soup (melted Swiss, not Gruyere). The menu's "something for everyone" steakhouse approach features rib eye and filet mignon with all the fixings, like rich creamed spinach, lush bearnaise with a lily-gilding scattering of fresh crabmeat. Steaks come juicy, deeply grill-scored and smoky, but other entrees need refining. End with the molten chocolate souffle--the wait takes some patience, but it's worth it.
