What a joke – 1st and last time I went to Prive was when Lil Wayne decided to make a guest apperance. I was just going to Prive to see what all the fuss was about with this "famous"place...apparently everyone else was going to gawk at Lil Wayne. Ended up being overcrowded, packing people into this tiny area where I swear I was in a hallway everywhere I went, no dancefloor, the tables were just bleh...and then on top of it Wayne didn't even perform or nothing people just came to see him. Definitely a joke...we won't even talk about how much I spent booooo

STAFF AT PRIVE IS SUPER RUDE – Very disappointing! I went there with a large group of friends willing to get a couple of tables at the VIP but since the staff there was extremely rude and wanted to get extra money to let some of my friends in (since they carried passports and not US government-issued ID's). Do they seriously do this with every single tourist who wants to party at their place!? We complained about it but obviously they didn't care, otherwise one of the guys at the door wouldn't have said there were about 500 customers inside spending money and that it didn't matter if we went in or not. Shame on them!!! Is this the way they treat customers all the time??? Very disappointing and embarassing. My friends from overseas got a very bad impression. We will never, ever go back there.

SUPER FUN!!!! – Me and My girls went to prive on the 13th of sept. We had a blast. Luckly I knew one of the guys that works there so we were able to get in pretty fast. We came from California and I have to say it was a good expirience. The people were great and the service was too. We had the a really good time. I cant wait to go again....We miss Miami.

Minority Discrimination! – So I had lived in Miami for 2 years and always heard about this place. Its owned by the same people who own Mansion, and since I always have a great time there I decided to try Prive. WRONG! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I took some of my girlfriends from out of town because I wanted to show them the Ritzy Miami life. When they wouldn't let us in after waiting for 15 MINUTES we decided to just buy some bottles. The french doorman looked at the 4 of us and said its 3 bottle minimum. When we said ok, he turns to the other bouncer and says " ARE WE LETTING IN COLORED GIRLS TONIGHT?" When the other bouncer said "NO" he turned to us and said "IM SORRY LADIES ALL OF OUR TABLES ARE SOLD OUT" I was so appalled! I will never support this establishment! The worst part about it is the owners of the Opium group are not even white, and the other bouncers were not white either. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

Racial Quota – Two of my friends and I visited Miami for Presidents' Day Weekend 2008 and decided to go out to Prive. After waiting in line for approx. 10-15 minutes, a black doorman approached us and said "You will be better off going to Opium [the club next door] because we have reached our quota on you guys." Since the club was still letting people in, we inferred what he meant by "you guys" was, in fact, "black females". Needless to say, we were absolutely appalled by this blatant racial (and gender) discrimination. Although nightclubs such as Prive may reserve the right to be selective in who they allow into their venues, I'm pretty sure that this selectivity does not extend to someone's race - at least not in the last few hundred years. As beautiful, intelligent (we are ivy league school graduates and pursuing careers in law, medicine, and engineering), black females who were extremely well-dressed (equally, if not, better than many of the Caucasian people they were letting in), I was/am incensed that we were denied entry simply because of the color of our skin. In my 23 years, I have never been subjected to racism and this is just another example demonstrating that this issue is still alive and well in this country. Frankly, this will not be the last time anyone who reads a review about Prive will hear about this "racial quota" as we intend on spreading the word on their racial discriminatory practices.

Great atmosphere, beautiful crowd – I just went back to Prive after not being here for a few month while i was out of town and the scene is still amazing. The crowd here is always upscale yet always ready to party. Love the entire exclusive feel. even the staff makes you always feel like you're a VIP. That's tough to find in Miami, even if you are one. The DJ's are always on point.

Best Lounge/small nightclub to dance – i love Prive. not too many places on Sobe have managed to stay chic and trendy as years go by. Prive has invented their music format and their crowd and still kept a fresh and yuppie clientele. love the fashion shows and the celebrity sight-seeing. where else can you dance near JT...

VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL – BE WARNED....

Do not go or even think about going to Prive/Opium, the staff there are very rude, and unprofessional. If you go in a group, you are not guaranteed to all get in, they basically pick you to get in, if the door guards, don't think you "fit in" you or your friends will not get in.

We had a terrible experience on Sat June 2nd, where we had reserved a list for a party of 40 people. We were confirmed by two people at Opium Group office the day before (Friday) that we would not have a problem getting everyone in for free. And of course on Saturday to their convenience they could not find that list, so they were super rude and let in like 10 people for $20 a pop, and the rest were outside until 1 AM still trying to get in. So we all decided to leave together. Waste of night and big time downer!! Not to mention people flew from NY, NJ and GA to come to this party.

The music inside was HORRIBLE too, they played Y100 music IN A CLUB!!! TERRIBLE!!!

High-end dance club at the tip of South Beach is a swanky hangout for the rich and beautiful. – In Short
Adjacent to the Opium Garden, this celebrity-spotting magnet is wall-to-wall with pretty and famous faces. Comfy couches and mod lighting scream classy and so will your eventual tab. Like its Opium Garden and Mansion siblings, the door staff can get pretty selective about who gets in right away. Guests who don't want to battle the velvet rope politics can reserve a table in advance for as little as $200.

Quintessential South Beach – One of the best clubs in SoBe. Beautiful People & Celebs. Friday nights are the best. It does not happen during the week. Pricey, Door Staff attitude... But if you're a local and know your way on the beach is awesome. Dress the part otherwise you're just another brick in the wall.
