Absolutely the BEST! – Been eating here for a long time, even before the family moved there business over from the old place. Great home cooked Indian food. Which is very hard to find. Good service, love sitting out on the patio and enjoying a great meal. Favorite dish...Chicken Makhni.

Continuous downhill slide – I've been visiting this restaurant ever since it was converted to an Indian restaurant. I believe it used to be called Dar Bar. Back then, the food was good. Ever since it was converted to Taj II, the quality of the food has fallen dramatically. Service is typical for this type of cuisine, a bit slow and silent, but tolerable.

Excellent Service – I had a very good experience here. Pleasant comfortable setting, my water was never even half empty. Fast service, excellent rice! I would recomment the vegetarian platter, you pick 2 dishes of your choice and then the bring you a huge serving of naan that was delicious and lots of other yummies, the mango ice cream was sooooo good!

The latest buffet stop in the city's "Little India." – The Scene
The latest addition to the Indian dining options available on North Campus, Taj II is in the building formerly occupied by longtime Italian eatery Casa di Pasta. While the new owners have updated the look slightly, the dining rooms still have that 1960s banquet hall look, replete with floral carpeting and long panels of gold-veined mirrors. The downstairs bar is the room with the most character, possibly because the dim lighting obscures the dated decor.

The Food
The menu has everything one looks for in an Indian restaurant: food that is tasty and affordable, with service that is quick and kind. At a mere $6.99 per person, the daily lunch buffet is loaded with satisfying standards, from crispy vegetable pakora with chutney to the very tender Chicken Makhni. Try the gulab jamun--a cheese and flour ball in syrup--with a couple of spoonfuls of rice pudding for dessert.
