Rude staff Overpriced drinks!! – I have been to the Stadium about four times. Each experience was worst than the next.the only reason i went the last time was because a friend had a party upstairs.the staff is the worst rude, obnoxious, and the bouncers especially.fake tough guys on steroids who get off on not letting in 80 year old ladys in if they're not on the guest list.the function coordinater who's name is emily is a bitter woman who is angry at the world and takes it out on the people who have to deal with her so stay away and go anywhere else
if you're in southie and want to watch a game, come here. the crowd is mixed, lots of girls when i was there. so-so bar food.
Best Service and they now serve pizza – We arrived into The Stadium on Saturday evening around 7.30pm. The place was full, that atmosphere was great and we were able to get two seats at the bar. Bartenders were very attentive, gave us a menu and offered us their drink speciality list. We ordered our drinks - Blue Lagoon and chocolate covered strawberry they tasted like "more" please. We were very happy to see dinner specials one of which was a butternut squash pizza, a little different I thought but we gave it a shot - well worth it. We continued with a few more cocktails and we able to watch music videos that were being shown as well as the basketball finals.
All in all a great night out. Would definatley recommend it. "not your average sports bar"
Horrible and Rude Staff – While the pitchers here are a bargin, you pay for it in rude service. My friend and I had some nachos and beer at the bar. I put down a credit card to open the tab, but we paid in cash. The waitress never returned my card and we left. On the way to the car, I realized I didn't have my credit card. I went back, and was refused re-entry because the NCAA games were on and there was a line?! I explained that I only wanted my credit card back, and the bouncer was rude. I asked for the manager. He was even ruder, told me that it was not his problem and that I'd have to come back some other time, because they were really busy. I insisted that he let me back in to get MY card that HIS staff failed to return, and he called me a b^tch and said I should go ahead and order a new card, because I was not gettin in and never getting my card back, because I am so rude?!
I cannot believe I was treated this way. The whole situation was so absured -I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
fantastic fish and chips – The best fish and chips around. Only one problem, too bad they can't get a blender and make some 'girl' drinks (frozen drinks). We'd go there more often if they did.
Any seat in the house puts you front-row close to the action at this standout South Boston sports bar. – The Scene
With more than 30 flat-screen TVs mounted almost every eight feet throughout the bar--including in the restrooms--Stadium ensures that there's not a bad seat in the house. Cherry wood, brass fixtures, slate-grey walls and an oval-shaped bar (complete with stage lighting) all help contribute to a genial, testosterone-friendly atmosphere. Fans converge after work to cheer on the hometown teams, while sports-minded singles mingle in the upstairs dance area on weekends.
Stadium is all about hybrids. A high-tech sports bar within a glossy lounge; a choice of draft beers alongside an impressive martini list. The tiramisu martini, fashioned after the sweet dessert staple, is a favorite with female patrons. Young professionals enjoy sturdy pub fare like steak and cheese subs. Service is slow, especially at peak hours. Another strike against Stadium is its address, a hike into the depths of Southie for city dwellers.
Such a good time !! – I went with my girlfriend and spent most of saturday night downstairs. She talked me in to going upstairs to dance and we had a blast. Dinner was great and so was our waitress, definately try the Mango martini.
hot spot – As I was reading some other reviews, I disagree with them. I've been to the Stadium alot since it has opened and I haven't had a bad experience and really don't see it happening. You have a front row seat, the food is more than reasonable and pricing of the food is exceptional (there's not many places around Boston where you can get good grub, classy atmosphere, great price). All staff is very offering. I found out recently they rent upstairs for private partys (my girlfriend told me her experience in hiring the Stadium for her party, something she will always remember - Everything went smoothly, according to plan) I suggest every reader to experience this place for yourself, don't take anyone else's word for it. This is a shock for Southie to have a business like this around and I think that might reflect on their opinions of Stadium.
Shaky Start – A welcome addition to the South Boston Scene. The bar/restaurant is AWESOME! A TV from every angle...even in the men's room. The service is ok, I've been twice and the first time the waitress was so new that is was a very long meal waiting for her to figure out how to put in order, cash out, etc. The second we waited for 20 minutes before we could get somone to take our drink order. The food is also less than mediocre. The Nachos need work, and the chicken fingers were raw. If they could work out the kinks in the kitchen this place would be perfect.
