Well I’m defiantly not going to bash anyone’s name but I would like to let everyone know about my experience with Kidd Appliance. We just moved to the area and didn’t know many people but a friend highly recommended me to them so they must be doing something good. When we first called they said it would take about a week to get out to replace a part on our GE gas dryer after the tech was finished I asked him to take a look at my GE Advantium microwave. I had another tech from a different company tell me a few years ago that it was the smart board that needed replaced. The microwave worked fine except the display didn’t stay lite up all the time. We have used it for years just like this. The tech that came out a few years ago said it would be about 200 to fix. I said it was working just fine and it wasn’t that big of deal so I just dealt with it. Well when we moved I figured why not go ahead and get it fixed. That’s when all the issues turned for the worse with this company. When the tech looked at it I told him what I thought it was and what I was told before and he agreed that’s what the problem was. He said it was going to be around 175 for the part and then labor to install. I agreed to the price and tech ordered part. I wasn’t home but my wife was when tech came out to fix it he took the microwave apart put new part in and plugged it up and that didn’t fix the problem. He agreed to not charge me for part just the labor to come out. He said it could be the other board but the problem was he cut some wire that couldn’t be repaired. He also broke off one of the latches that keeps the door closed. When I came home there was 14 screws and the front cover was off the microwave and a piece that goes on the top was also off. When I called to ask if someone could come out to put it together that’s when the tech called me and was yelling and screaming at me as if it was my fault he got in trouble at work. I then called back and told the lady that answered the phone that I didn’t want the original tech back out. She told me the owner would call me to discuss. He and I talked and he came out to get microwave to take it back to the shop to repair it. He called a week or two later and told me that it was unrepairable and there was nothing that they could do for me.
