This cozy lounge boasts good food (esp. brunch), a strong selection of specialty cocktails, and tons of pinball machines. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Great for Waiting... – The C Bar is a great place to grab a drink while you wait for a tble next door at Yoko's. Not neccessarily the kind of place I would travel to go to but it's very convenient for what it is.

Great staff, great drinks, great vibe – I have been a customer at C-Bar dozens of times and have had nothing but professional, friendly service. The bartenders always make me feel at home and make great drink recommendations when I am looking to try something out-of-the-ordinary. The great service and the low-lit intimate vibe make this a perfect neighborhood spot to chill when I want to get away from the busy, loud bars.

If you want to get mad, go to C bar – After a first time experience that was less than stellar due to lazy service (the place was NOT busy) we decided to give it another chance with friends. WOW was that a mistake! The server (blond girl in pigtails) was initially unresponsive, and then just rude. Our friends showed up, we had to flag her down for them to order one drink. When she brought them out, she bolted so fast we had no time to ask for any food, even though we had initially told her we wanted to order when our drinks came. FORTY FIVE MINUTES and not one stop at our table later, we left. You didn't even want to try to flag her down for fear of the claws coming out and ripping your face to shreds. On the way out , we confronted the other server and asked if the owner was aware that they were short staffed, if that was the case. (My guess is not, since there was a bartender and a 2 servers and the place is not large--go down to the Gladstone down the street and watch one server, one bartender, and one cook deal with twice as many people) Though the other server was at least cordial, our server was standing right there and wouldn't even look at us. As we left another couple gave us a sympathetic look and also got up to leave. Seriously, if you want to get worked up and ticked off and feel like you can cut the tension with a knife, then this is your place.

Cheerful Atmosphere!!!! – We went to Yoko's for the first time last Tuesday evening and enjoyed a cocktail at C Bar while we waited. The bartender that night, Valerie, was such a sweetheart. She recommended the house cocktails, which were delicious, and took the time to give us many suggestions for things to do in the neighborhood (we just moved in). C Bar has a fabulous cocktail list and atmosphere. We will certainly be back often. Thanks Valerie, and the rest of C Bar staff, for the warm welcome! Cheers!

learn the law people – obviously, some people don't get out much. In Oregon bartenders are DIRECTLY liable for anything that happens to anyone who drinks at their bar, regardless of age. If a bartender fails to card you, even if you are 50 years old, and then you drink and drive, that bartender is held responsible. They can have their OLCC license revoked, lose their job and ability to get another one, and potentially be sued as a 3rd party for an damages done by the drunk driver, including injury or fatalities of other people. This kind of thing ruins people's lives and careers, YOU BETTER BELIEVE I AM GOING TO CARD YOU. Stop thinkin you're special or something, everyone gets carded. Who goes out to a bar without an ID?

Unbelievably rude staff – I went to this bar with my wife and sister-in-law while waiting for a table at Yoko's restaurant next door. The bartender was a total byatch to us. First, we asked about the happy hour. Even though it was only 6:25, and the happy hour ends at 6:30, she said no way. She pointed us to their bar clock, which was 15 minutes fast. She even admitted it was 15 minutes fast, but still said no on the happy hour. Why not just be honest, set the clock properly, and have the happy hour end at 6:15? Then, my sister-in-law ordered a drink, so she asked us all for ID. My wife is 30 and didn't have her ID, so even though she didn't even order any alcoholic drink, she kicked us all out, but not before giving us some more lip about how the law requires us to carry ID at all times, even outside the bar, which is not even true. How the hell she got that idea I don't know. It's not like we live in a police state...yet. Anyway, I hope being a b*tch was worth a few bucks to her, and I hope her employer sees this review posted here. We will never go there again.

Do not go – I was there with davvvyjooones and four other friends, and the bartender wasn't a "little rude"...she was a total B*tch. She just stood behind the bar yapping her mouth to the 3 regulars at the bar while we waited, and waited, and waited. When I finally tried to nicely interject to place an order, the @%*! bit my head off for interrupting. How does this place even stay in business?

Bad Bar, Bad Service – Bleah! Waited forever for a drink, even though they were almost empty. Woman behind the bar was slow and kind of rude. We left after one drink.

Harley007 was asked to leave for lack of proper ID. – I was in the bar at the time of Harley007's visit, as I was in almost the entire evening enjoying the free WIFI. He or his guest were unable to provision proper ID as required by OLCC law. He was being so rude, even though the bartender is doing what the state of Oregon requires of her, that the bartender asked him and his guest to leave unless they both had their ID. He continued his rant to the degree that she then called Yoko's to warn them about him coming over for dinner and not having proper ID.

Harley007. Do the rest of us a favor, go somewhere else. Cbar is a great neighborhood bar with a staff that is VERY friendly and is known for the quality of their customer base . They have a great menu, excellent selection of Micro's, and Belgian beers.

Chances are if you dont have your ID and you go to another bar and the bartender is doing their job you will get carded. If you are rude than don't be surprised to get the same back, and dont take out your lack of knowledge of Oregon law on the bartender and the business.

Thanks
