For high-end diner fare, there's no place like Gott's. The sliders and shakes are exceptional, but for me, the real draw is the huge fenced-in patio where you can sit, sip, and watch the vast panoply of humanity that make up San Francisco, tourist and native alike.

This place is great on value. Burgers and fries are good with lots of variety. I sometimes tend not to eat hamburger buns because they lack flavor or get too soggy, but these here don't and actually taste really good. The sweet potato fries were good. If you opt for a bottle of wine- nothing fancy- their prices are very reasonable and if bringing your own... I think corkage is just a buck.

My Sunday Spot – We go here just about every Sunday and have yet to be disappointed. Nothing beats a cheeseburger, Fries and Mint-Chip milkshake on a Sunday afternoon. I admit it's not the cheapest or fastest but it's ALL worth it!

Over Priced Food – I have to say In N Out Burger tastes much better and it's about 1/3 the price. Taylors Burgers are too greasy.

Outstanding!!! – So, OK, all I've sampled at Taylors is their burgers and their cobb salad. And it sums up as: You get what you pay for! The Taylors burgers are the BEST I've had in this city. First quality meat (from Golden Gate Meat Company), plenty of it, cooked to perfection. So, OK you have to wait a long time for your order during peak hours, so just be forewarned and remind yourself that good things are worth waiting for! At Taylors the wait is worth every minute ! The staff scrambles to keep up with the demand anytime between Noon-2PM. If you are allergic to long lines and waiting for your food, then go outside of that "crowded" window and you should be just be fine. Just be sure to give it a shot and decide for yourself.

I wish I could have reviewed the food – After ordering a burger and a grilled cheese sandwich, my boyfriend and I waited 20 minutes for our food. We noticed everyone else seemed to be getting our food and suspected our order was misplaced. Finally when we asked to cancel our order because of the wait, we were rudely told "it's only been 15 minutes, not 20". We went to LuLu Petite instead and received freshly made hot sandwiches in 5 minutes.

great burgers! – This is the place to go if you are a burger lover like me! I have never had anything else on the menu BUT beef and they do it yummy. Try the chili fries too - but remember to eat at weird times so you dont have to wait in line

You're Better Off at McDonald's! – When I saw only one dollar sign for Taylor's, it made me so mad I had to write this. Taylor's is overrated, overcrowded and incredibly OVERPRICED! I refuse to ever go there again after spending $18 for a mediocre lunch - and I don't even eat meat! All I ordered was a veggie burger, fries, a coke and a shake. I may be a bitter vegetarian, but I won't give my business to someplace that charges $2 extra for a veggie burger (that isn't even that good). The portions are small and definitely not worth the hype (or the line). The only good thing about Taylor's is that it means shorter lines at quality burger joints!

Overpriced, Overcrowded – The downtown lunch set is truly starved for new eateries, and the lines that form at 11:45 lately at Taylor's is a reflection of deprivation, not genuine interest in the pricey grub. It's a nice idea -- upscale burgers and such in a nostalgic diner setting. It's been done before, and it's been done much better. The ahi burger was fantastic, I grant them, but at $12 bucks a la carte when a soda is added, I'll choose less trendy. Try Burger Bistro nearby on Mission for equal if not superior quality and much more reasonable value.

this place was average – Myself and my friend both ordered the same thing (meatloaf sandwich) only to be told after wating for 15 min. that they had "run out".

We then had to choose somehting else ( chicken sandwiches) which had vitrually no flavor and had to wait an additional 2o minutes. This place is not worth it. Too pricey for what is offered and really slow service.

American road food goes upscale at the Ferry Plaza outpost of the famed Napa Valley hamburger stand. – The Scene
The stainless-steel food and cashier stations are a little bit industrial, the hardwood picnic tables a little bit retro, but the melding of the two is appropriate for a place that blends both old and new school. Bubbly counter staff, who are constantly grinning from ear to ear, echo the aesthetics of the cheery space.

The Food
The menu revolves around familiar American diner food, and a meticulous attention to ingredients befits the high prices. Hamburgers are ground from all-natural beef, there are nuggets of fresh mahi mahi in the fish and chips, and cobb salad is coated lightly with a dill-inflected green goddess dressing. Just like a roadside diner should, the kitchen has a way with a deep-fryer: Observe the chunky onion rings and spectacular sweet potato fries flecked with chili powder. Spicy fish tacos, delicious but a bit underwhelming, may not be quite up to all the hullabaloo, but a thick white-pistachio milk shake made with double Rainbow ice cream is downright luscious.
