great service – This place was amazing! The choices of meat were to die for. Do come prepared to eat a lot of meat, because by the end of the night, I could barely walk. The environment was great too. I went here with my boyfriend to celebrate our two years and I couldn't have asked for more. Their bread was really good. Many of the meat were just perfect, only like one or two choices of meat was kind of dry to me, but still delicious. The place is a little pricey, but worth it. The total for two of us was about 120 or so. It was roughly 50 per person.
AMAZING!!! – The food was amazing. But if you eat here, don't eat anything all day. The amount of food they serve is so large...but it's all quality food.
The first time I went the waiter accidently spilled a dish of mashed potatoes on me and all of the managers jumped on me and helped me to the bathroom to get it all out. It didn't ruin our dinner though. They gave us free desert and a hundred dollar gift certificate for next time. The service was amazing and everyone was very nice. It's not a cheap meal, but for what you get, it is soooo worth it. the lamb was the best and I ate as much as I could fit into my stomach. AMAZING!!
A rare gem for the restaurantuer! – As a food lover as somone who loves to dine out very frequently, Fogo de Chau was an experience I've longed for since visiting churrascerias in Brazil and Argentina. The service was perfect, and so pleasant we stayed and enjoyed dinner and a botttle of great wine for nearly 3 hours. The papaya dessert is a dream, and management was very attentive and proffesional. I will definatley be a regular at this stellar establishment!
Best Meats Ever!!!!! – This place is AWESOME!! It's totally worth the price and I look forward to special occasions just so that I can suggest this place. It's a must that you arrive with an empty stomach or you will not get your money's worth. I definitely recommend Fogo to anyone!
heaven in the form of meat – My boyfriend likes to one-up me on everything... always has to run the show, so to speak. Simultaneously, I am a birthday control freak and celebrate by birthday for a full week, usually. I had a dinner with a ton of my friends early monday night because he told me that he wanted to take me out at 8. He told me to eat lightly. Why would he plan a double dinner? Anyway, needless to say, the dinner with my friends wasn't so much a dinner as us all sitting together at my house talking, and he, like the huge dork he is, showed up with 20 or so guys singing happy birthday and carrying the largest chocolate cake I have ever seen, but before I could eat it he whisked me away to Fogo de Chao. Thank god I had not eaten anything. I had never heard of a place like this, and the fact that they just continue bringing meat and replacing the sides until you show red is something only from my wildest dreams! I would recommend not wasting room on the meats covered in bacon... go straight for the pure bred steaks like the filet. The pork ribs are also fabulously seasoned and delicious. In case you were worried about cutting the fat with something, there is also an endless salad bar, boasting much more than the standard iceberg lettuce and crunchy far from ripe tomatoes. They had olives, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and already prepared salads as well. Truly a perfect meal and now I struggle to find anything remotely close to this slew of meat with which to surprise him.
Great meats and even salad! – WONDERFUL~! Meats are tasty, Salads are glorious, staff is friendly and handsome ;). This is what all restaurants should stride to meet. Just go and you will go back.
Good, not great – I have been here a handful of times and the service has always been consistent. The side dishes and salad bar are great! Can't say much about their meats. Only some of the meats were juciy and flavorful. Totally worth $40 for lunch if you're a carnivore. Dinner is a bit much. Nonetheless, I shall be back!
UPSCALE CHURRASCARIA – ALTHOUGH I DONT WANT TO GO TO A CHURRASCARIA FOR THE SALAD, THEIR BAR WAS PHENOMENAL. THE MEAT WAS OK AND VARIED BUT COULD BE MORE TENDER AND I GOT A REALLY BAD STOMACH ACHE AFTERWARDS. THE SMALL SIDE DISHES [THE CORN FRENCH FRIES, BANANA, MASHED POTATOES] WERE AMAZING AND WERE CONSTANTLY GETTING REPLACED WITH FRESH ONES BY THE STAFF. THE MAITRE'D WAS RUDE BUT THE SERVERS WERE VERY HELPFUL. THEIR VAST WINE COLLECTION STRETCHES FROM THE FLOOR TO THE HIGH CEILING AND THE PAINTINGS ON THE WALL WERE A NICE TOUCH.
I fantasize about this place... – Fogo De Chao - HOLLA!!! I went here for a Christmas party. It was so freaking good! The meat was awesome, so many choices. And your plate never has to go empty! The salad bar was amazing. Not a traditional salad bar, with lettuce and toppings and whatnot, but awesome veggies, cheeses, bread, oh, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. The meat is great, plus there were some cute "meat skewer dudes" which made dining even better. The drinks? Oh, HELLO - high quality. I had a margarita and a mojito. My friend had a mojito and a rum & coke. Those things were delicious, and very worth the money. The deserts were fantastic - humongous. This place is a treat - I can't wait to go back.
Great Memories! – When I lived in Chicago I went to this fine establishment more than a handful of times. If you dont know too much about this restaurant, read the editors review. The obvious all you can eat is definitely worth the money alone. If you're going to complain about 60$ being a bit much, well you probably shouldnt have made a rez there, knowing its in Beverly Hills and all. Back to the review....
Made a rez for 8:30 on a Friday about 2 weeks prior and passed a ton of people who didnt have sense to make a reservation. The Valet parking was ridiculously packed, so I parked on the street about a half-block away. Got to our table and started with the house specialty and had various other beef, pork, and lamb products. Bought a bottle of wine (only 60$) and had after dinner shots( about $50 for two) and everything was pleasing.
I live in Vegas now, so its a short drive or flight away from great food, and its not like a Mcdonalds where they have one every other corner. (11 in the world, 7 in the states) To get this kind of food at a very affordable price in one of the most expensive places in the world is like a god-send. Sure you can be cheap and get lunch for half off, but theres really no ambience then.. you MUST go at night (unless you have bratty kids that would whine about the late hour). There are absolutely no problems with the servers at all. Never had to ask once for anything, and that being in there with a full house. Server got $50 tip because he sure earned it.
If you go to L.A. or California for that matter dont even think twice, make the rez and eat like a king for less than I spend on a pair of shoes.
