WALKED RIGHT OUT... STAY AWAY – I walked into this shop today and walked RIGHT OUT! I am the assistant to a major recording artist and our record label has (HAD rather) Armen on their referral list for repairs. As soon as I walked into the shop Armen looked me up and down, rolled his eyes, pulled a phone from his pocket and began to dial a phone number (I guess this was supposed to be a hint that I was not a worthy customer for him???). Without even looking in my direction he says "Yea...?" I begin telling him "I have a Crown 311.." and before I could even get the rest of the sentence out he turns his back to me and snarks "I dont repair those" dismissively and places the phone to his ear, all the while shaking his head and rolling his eyes as if annoyed that I had even come in. I did'nt even stick around long enough to tell him that I wasnt there to repair the Crown mic, I just wanted him to be aware of all the components involved with my issue so I started with that. His body language was so strong that I REFUSED to do any business with him and never will again. As of today both Live Nation and My artist will not work with him nor will we be referring ANY business his way. I honestly have never reviewed anything online but the service here was SO bad I had to post about it. I wish i'd have known about this Rogue place, I would have gone across the street but I was so furious that I stormed out and back to my hotel fuming all the way. I hate when you get the distinct impression that people look at you and decide you aren't of important based on your looks mind you my artist dresses JUST like I was dressed today in all of his performances so its not like I looked like a slob or anything. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JERK and DONT GIVE HIM A DIME OF YOUR MONEY!!!!!! I'm so pissed Im tempted to post this everywhere I can find reviews of this place on the internet. Too often tech services assume bad customer service is a package deal as techies are rumored to have "less people skills" but im sick of that excuse. I work in the industry so I know what is acceptable and I can honestly say I haven't been treated this rude in a LOOOONG time.
Awesome keyboard repair – Armen goes way back in the analog synth world. he has a rack-mount minimoog (not voyager) that he built in the seventies, though it is not for sale almost everything else in this crowded shop it. He is reliable fast (comparatively) and not overly expensive. I have been using him as a source of keyboard and sound equipment or over 5 years and have found him to be the best in the northeast. If you need it fixed or just want to look at what he has for sale call first, he sometimes opens later than advertised.
