the worst sports bar experience I've ever had – I went there with my fiance to watch the eagles game, and assumed it would be the feature game. Well, I couldn't have been more wrong. This dump has two big screen tv's, and they both had the steelers game on! When I asked why I was given a snot nosed answer that the place is "sports bar, and they have to cater to the fans"! A sports bar - no kidding, I went there to watch the eagles!!! The food was awful. It was clear that everthing there is cooked in the microwave. The service was even worse. I hope this place gets shut down because it's just taking up valuable real estate. I will never go this sorry excuse for a sports bar ever again!
will never go back – As a Philadelphia sports fan, when you go out to a sports bar in the city, you expect to watch the Philadelphia game. However, this dump makes the choice to cater to and feature Pittsburgh games. If you are a Pittsburgh fan - that is great news, but in a city as devoted to theior sports teams as Philadelphia - it is shocking and annoying. Not only did we go there to watch the Eagles game - we wore green and Eagles gear. No one in this establishment bothered to tell us that the game would not be featured in the bar. The service is lousy, the food is marginal and hit or miss, and their beer draft system - which they tout as a large selection - only works some of the time. Terrible!
good to watch games – Update the review of this place. It's a great place to go watch sports games and drinking with friends. I joined the mug club. you get free a beer on your birthday. however they said they always have mug club party. since i join they had it only twice and i am a member since this place open. if you want to order a side, order fries only becasue others like mashpotatoes they come in a little small sauce bowl. (very tiny portion with high price)
their appertizers are great. the services sometimes great sometimes ok. it's a good place to watch the games
Good Place to Watch Games – The Fox and Hound has above average food and selection. Being part of a chain I did not think it would be all that great but the people working there are very friendly and will attend special requests on meals. They offer good drink specials and can be very crowded during big games so get there early for seating. I hope they survive considering the size of the place and the seeming lack of people during the week but overall I found the place to be a good value for the money and the staff makes it an enjoyable place to eat!
