Bathroom food.
Cozy Burger is a great stop if you're looking for a laxative shaped like a burger and tasting of half-cooked beef. My experience there has always been a pleasant one, not so much for the burgers themselves, but rather for the company of friends and the occasional delicious onion rings.
If you're looking for a great meal on the cheap and an atmosphere that brings out the best in you, I recommend CiCi's Pizza. If you're looking to throw up, I recommend Cozy Burger.
Needs some TLC.
Cozy Burger used to be one of our family's favorite stops for a really good burger. We haven't been in a while, and decided to give it a try again.
We were a little disappointed from the moment we walked in the door. It just looked like it hasn't been cared for in a while. The floors were sticky and all the paint was peeling, almost all the cushions on the benches were ripped and taped with silver tape, the container for used baskets and cups was unpleasantly dingy... basically, it was not the appealing friendly place it once was. Now, maybe it was a bad night, and I hope it was, but I was put off.
Add to the surroundings the fact that our fries were not fully cooked! We didn't complain, as we had eaten a good bit before getting to the uncooked part. I was very sad to see that things had changed. I know some of the folks who worked there have left, and maybe a little bit of the heart and soul went with them. They are missed. There was almost never anyone at the front counter, and it just wasn't the friendly happy atmosphere it used to have.
The burgers were still good, but seemed more "processed and pre-made" somehow than before.
I hate to write this, but I was surprised and disappointed and hope the restaurant has a chance to clean up a bit!
Good luck.
Great Mom and Pop Burger Joint. This is my family's favorite burger joint in Lexington. They have an outstanding selection of burgers that range from your normal cheeseburger to the different "Spanish Garden" burger with artichokes. They also have a great vegetarian menu featuring garden burgers served in the same manner as their other burgers. The best item on their menu is by far their french fries. They cut the potatoes in house and serve giant fresh fries. Highly Recommended. Great place for the family looking for a cheap bite to eat.
