Excellent as always – Excellent a always...... Make your reservations earlier on a Saturday nite,as the place gets very busy after 6pm.....
Delicious! – Our daughter goes to IU so every time we go we try a different restaurant. So far this is the favorite! We had a group of 8 ranging in ages 20 thru 70 and everyone was raving. The food was delicious and you could tell the ingredients were very fresh, perfectly seasoned and we felt transported to old Italy! If you like Italian, this is the best you will find!
The best – After a 10 mile hike in Morgan Monroe State Forest we were looking for a comfortable dining spot to relax on a Sunday night. It was the 4th of July and to our surprise Grazie was one of the few restaurants near IU that were open. It was fairly crowded (50% off bottles of wine on Sundays seemed to help!) The food was good. We had an appetizer and main course. A salad is included with the main course so I recommend skipping any appetizers. My son's choice of chicken pesto was probably the best of our 3 meals.
Highly recommended! – Terrific Italian eatery located in prime Bloomington downtown location. Food was top notch, not your typical Americanized Italian-style fare. Each dish stood out because of unique spices, described well by our waitress. Highly recommend the scampi. This will be a must stop restaurant for me every time I visit
Relaxing meal – I recommend Grazie for that first time date and special occasions. Imagine a relatively short online courtship and that first date, that first occasion of face to face intimacy. The menu was the deciding factor to provide for the delicious variety of fine dining, generous portions, multi-course appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts, wines, coffees… We benefitted from a quiet Tuesday night, low lights, quiet ambiance, and our purpose proved romantic. Blessing our togetherness and toasting our favorite wines and special occasion was the beginning of a two hour, relaxing, meal, and romantic sensation. Our server John was very attentive and recognized the special occasion. Hold hands coming and going to Grazie, relax, snuggle shoulder to sho
Too expensive for the menu quality – This restaurant on the square has a nice location and good atmosphere, classy and modern. Occasionally there is a wait for your table, not sure if they take reservations but on the weekend you should probably try.
The menu items are too expensive for the quality of the dishes and drinks! You can get better Italian food for less at other locations in Bloomington. When they first opened, it was much more collegiate and quaint. They had an awesome deal for unlimited bread, salad and drinks (don't know if it's still there?). The service is good, food comes out pretty fast... but after your meal you may be feeling "what did my money pay for?"
Terrible food. Terrible service. Terrible prices. Just plain terrible! – I came here with a group of friends last night and ordered the tilapia which was flavorless, even with the large amount of cream and butter used. Pasta portions were miniscule and terribly overpriced. Do NOT buy any alcohol as it has a worse mark up than in restaurants in New York, LA, or other major metro areas. Service was horrible--slow and rude. I would actively recruit people against coming to this terrible, terrible restaurant.
Fantastic Food, Superb Service – I had an excellent experience at Grazie. It's in a great location on the square, perfect for dining outside while people watching. They have half price wine on wednesdays and sundays, and the service is second to none. I had their tilapia, which was amazing. For desert, the chocolate cake is a must try! They didn't have any specials while i was there, but i asked the server what she recommended, and everthing was fantastic, i can't wait to go back!
