Not going back – One star because the software won't post your review with no stars. No way to make negative stars.

Went to this place this Sunday morning & will not go back.

Three of us sat down & ordered. Conversation was all but inmpossible because this place is so noisy & I am surprised they have any dishes left. Never have I heard such a crashing of crockery. It would appear that no employee knows how to put a stack of dishes down w/o slamming them.

But, on to the food. We ordered our food and when it came not one order (of 3) was satisfactory. One plate had cold eggs and toast, one plate of french toast was not warm and one plate of waffle & ham was also not warm. When we mentioned this to the waitress she tried very hard to explain that it wasn't her fault. She offered to take things back and wanted to know if it was OK to reheat the waffle. After explaining to her that one does not put a waffle in the microwave unless they wanted a soggy mess she indicated she would have them make a fresh one. We also indicated we would like to speak to the manager.

A few minutes later she brought the bacon that should have been with the french toast. Several minutes later she brought back the microwaved french toast that was still not hot. Several minutes later she brought back the ham that had been microwaved and was now tough & dry. A while after that she brought a waffle but had to be asked for syrup.

We saw her tell the manager that we wanted to speak to him but he would not come back to us & would not look at us.

We all ate some of our food, one section at a time, one person at a time, never with a whole order for any of us, never any two orders at the same time. Actually, none of it was right but we didn't want to send it back again 'cause who knew what or when we would get back.

About the time we were finally digusted & ready to leave, having eaten less than half the food that was eventually delivered the Mgr came over & simply told us he would take care of us but never allowed us to talk. One person tried to tell him what had happened but he interrupted, telling us he would take care of it.

Now we sat for awhile waiting for the waitress to come back with our check....she never did. We got up, thinking someone might see us & bring our check. No such luck. When we got to the front the mgr briskly informed us that he had "taken care" of our check and again interrupted us when we tried to talk to him about it. No one was being nasty, hostile or loud, he just couldn't take the time to hear what we had to say...I felt he didn't care.

After insisting that not charging us for our meal should be enough & turning his back on us, we left. Never to return.

This is not the way you treat customers. We could have written it off to a bad day in the kitchen except for the actions of this insensitive clod of a manager. He knew what he was doing was not right or polite but simply did not care. We got the impression that there were probably so many complaints that he wasn't interested in hearing any more or listening to anyone.

Any one who has worked in food service should know that you can not expect every patron to like the taste of every thing served to them but there is really no excuse for food that's supposed to be hot not being hot, food that's supposed to be cold to be cold. And no one should EVER walk away thinking management doesn't care. Listening is the Mgrs job & a mgr should know that there is more to customer satisfaction than comping a meal.

The place is convenient for me for business meals but that won't happen. The managment at any McDonalds or Wendy's knows what that Mgr doesn't & I suspect that a manager at a fast food chain who got caught doing what this one did would probably be fired. I presume he can get away with it because he is an owner or part owner, which just makes it worse.

Family restaurant – My family and I went to Vicki's when it first opened and we were pleased with the menu selection, service and location. We recently went back and were very disappointed. We were seated and then waited 15 minutes before I had to flag someone down to even give us water. Their excuse is that they didn't know where the server for that section was. Finally we ordered only to be told 10minutes after that one of our entrees was not available. The food quality was very poor, the menu was cut down considerably and the service was horrible. This is a great location and I hope they can restore it to the way it was.
