I am making my final payment. Overall my experience with Security Auto Loans was not bad at all. They deferred payments for me when I was financally strapped. Glad to be making last payment!!!!!
Cry Babies With Bad CREDIT – ok 1st of all you people who take out loans and can't pay them are lil' cry babies you should never bite off more than you can chew..
Obviously you credit is non existant or horrifying and that is why you go to places like this.... they take a huge chance with THIER MONEY to help you and you have the nerve to sit at your computer and use fake names to hide behind because you are a SCREW UP>>>DUHH the interest is gonna be high because no one elase will help you and your creit SUCKS>>>>>so don't look a gift horse in the mouth and bad mouth a company who is taking a chance on you they don't force you to pick the vehicle they don't force you to get a loan so suck it up make your payments on time and you will not have to sit thier at your computer and CRY about how awful they are it's called being RESPONSIBLE ADULTS NOT LIL' CRY BABIES.... HAVE A GREAT DAY
Stop Crying And Bitching It is what it is – Give me a brake.... You people bitching out there knew what you were getting into before you took these peoples money to buy your car. You wanted that car and they made it possible. Now youve gotton what you want now the cards are in your hands.... Now you wanna bitch... Please!!!!
I was with SAL for 3 years. My $9,000 loan was $310 a month for 3 years. With $2500 down. I only was threatned once and that was by a ding bat new employee who did not take the time to review my account and failed to see 2 years of on time payments before she threatned me... I told her and her big mouth F you and come get the truck right now.... Never the less the head of the dept contacted me asap and apologized. I never recieved another phone call again. The deal is. You can be up to 29 days late before they report you and damage your credit. BUT you just have to pay the extra interest.I was late every month but at the end of the loan it showed perfect on time payments to the credit bureau.
To make a long story short.
1. Have the car your going to buy checked out!!! Its well worth the extra $100 that way your not paying for a new engine and payments together.
2, If youve been in and out of jobs for the past few years do NOT borrrow money DUH!!
3. if your going to be late they are very patient. And if you get a dick for and account mgr.... Just talk to Reggie hes the head hancho and is VERY understanding...
Moral of this story.......
DONT BORROW THEN BITCH....... JUST MAKE THE PAYMENTS!!!!
Helped us out a lot. – We have very sub-par credit and needed a new car. SAL approved our car loan when no one else would. I recently had a problem paying my payment and one of their reps called me to make arrangements for a payment.
One problem is that before even 30 days, if your payment is late, it goes to the legal department pending reposession. The woman I was dealing with was very nice and didn't make me feel like a bad person like other lenders will if you have bad credit.
The good thing is that they report your payments monthly to credit bureaus, which is important if you have lousy credit like we do.
Of course the interest is high, but there's a reason for that. They can't go around giving out great deals to people with bad payment history- belive me, I know.
Predatory Loans – They harassed me while a family member was dying wanting to know when I could get the payment made; even laughing about my family member dying.
I just called to inquire about a deferment & they(my account rep who is supposed to be professional & is a supervisor) laughed because I was not able to make a payment this month due to household sinks breaking. They then referred to the letter my attorney sent stating that they don't have to communicate with me in writing only that my attorney requested it. They said they don't have to do anything & wouldn't even mail or fax me the deferment form. Very rude, unprofessional predatory lenders. I pay almost $300 monthly with a 22% apr for a 10 year old vehicle and have to deal with very unprofessional, rude staff as well. I do not recommend their business to ANYONE. Thanks!
Horrible!! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!! – I have had to deal with this company for literally years now since my wife decided that she wanted a car and since she was new to this country she didn't have the credit to buy from a good dealer or get financed from any of the more trustworthy finance companies.
From the first couple months we had no problems with Security Auto Loans, that was until I decided to make the payment for my wife, and the payment was refused because I Was not listed on the account. After putting it into writing that ANYONE wishing to make a payment on her account is free to do so I was finally able to make payments for my wife. However, this came after a letter was mailed making threats to repo my wife's car since the payment had not been made.
The letter was written on red paper to make you understand how serious the matter was (the agent on or accounts words not mine). I called to explain to them that I was trying to make a payment for my wife since she had to go back to her home country and was unable to send a payment from that country to them. And that it was Security Auto Loans that denied the payment. Not my wife. After I had explained this to them I was given a lecture about how we should have known the terms of the contract. This is nonsense since it was never explained in writing or verbally that she needed to grant me special permissions to make payments. That was issue number 1.
Now lets get on to a year later when I had lost my job and was waiting for unemployment. I called and let the workers know that I was having a problem with my unemployment when the economy tanked, and that I would be getting a payment in to them as soon as possible. This call was made before the payment was even close to being late. 3 days after the payment was late I started getting e-mails from the worker on my account along with phone calls to every phone number I had ever called them from demanding that I get a payment into them immediately to keep from my account being sent to the legal department for repossession. I had been on time with my payments, and here I was being threatened yet again by the company that I had overpaid the price of the car to (overpaid the cost of the car by $2000.00 at this point) because of the interest charges being so high. Now that I'm within 3 months of getting the car paid off it seems like they are doing whatever possible and being less understanding about situations almost as if hoping my account will go past due so the car can be repossessed so that they can resell it to make more money.
I promise you all this. If you let this company finance you it will not be your best choice. You will be treated with no respect, you will overpay, and you will have threats made to you if you have the least bit of trouble with your account. Even if the trouble is on their end not yours. I would recommend staying far away from this company, and maybe consider just using your down payment on a car to buy outright. The dealers in their network are all very shady and the cars are far under par. They prey on people with less than perfect credit and are predatory on their lending practices.
I did not use my real name on this posting since I still have to deal with this company for a couple more months.
So far, so good...... – This company quickly approved us for a loan, though we barely needed such a sub-prime lender. So far all of our payments have been successfully reflected on time. We returned the 1st car we bought from the dealer and chose another car and SAL sent us all the necessary paperwork to discharge our old loan immediately. Our only complaint thus far is the lack of online utilization. So many of us use the internet as a primary means of handling our business that I find it surprising their website is so meager.
have used them for the last 7 years – I have been a customer of sercurity for the past 7 they did repo my car when I was 2 and a half mnths behind. I have to say that other than that I have had a great experiance with them. they do call to say that the payment is due however when I tell them that I am going to make a payment they work with me. I would use them again in the future the only thing I do not like about them it the 23% interest that I pay. However no one else will touch me and they did
Restoring Bruised Credit – I am a car dealer,This program is desinged to build your credit back up,I have used this bank 150 times for my more creditly challenged customers,95% of these customers have been to several car Dealers and turned down FLAT.This bank takes a chance (and i mean a chance /multiple repos/bankruptcys/very low income) NO Way to qualify for a prime lender, but this bank gives them a open door. The agreement they sign also spells out (due to past credit )we have to keep a short leash on things, but if you communicate with them they allways work with you, this is the first step to rebuilding your credit, and they are behind you on this,I have sent dozens of customers through this bank and have repeat customers that have asked to use this company a secound & third time, all Im saying to those who are not happy,1 your not telling a full truth about your payment history 2.you werent communicating with there company or 3. your are fluke situation that I really have trouble beleiving but could be possible.
The Possitive Side of This Is
Make your payments on time, when you complete this loan your credit will be in a better place, they would love to have you back, but i have placed there customers in credit unions and remember it was SAL that took a chance on you. When other places shut the door on you,Security auto loans opened a window.
