Stop into Feather thy Nest – I highly recommend Feather thy Nest. This is a classy and unique store where you can find new treasures every day. It's never the same place twice! There's a great variety of antique, new, gently used, and quality furniture, artwork, and other items for your home/apartment/room or for a gift. All is reasonably priced! Next time you're on the east side of Pearl, you should stop by and check it out!
Mets Guy's Got It Wrong – MetsGuy needs to check his facts! Feather Thy Nest was founded in 2003 by mother/daughter team, Kathy Vossler and Heather Harding. The store is located at 1825 Pearl Street, Boulder, CO, where it has been since its inception. Under the Vossler/Harding ownership team the business earned a well deserved reputation for being a fun place to find excellent quality home furnishings and decor items. A real treasure shop in downtown Bouder. In 2007, the Vossler/Harding team sold the store to Linda M. Jones/ Lofty Goals, LLC. Unfortunately the new ownership did not prove to be as successful as the Vossler/Harding team. On June 19, 2010, in default of their lease and unable to pay their bills Lofty Goals, LLC relinquished their ownership in the business to their landlord, 1825 Pearl LLC, and walked away from the business leaving many consignors and vendors owed money. In an attempt to save what had once been a very successful business, Libby Cook - 1825 Pearl LLC - took over the day to day operations of the business. No obligation for any of Lofty Goals LLC's debts were assumed by Ms. Cook. All claims for payments due from Lofty Goals LLC are the legal responsibility of Lofty Goals LLC. However, as a gesture of goodwill, for a period of nearly one month, Ms. Cook escrowed all net proceeds from sales (after consignor commissions and salaries) and established a reserve fund to make partial payment to consignors who were left unpaid by Lofty Goals, LLC. This reserve fund netted consignors about 30% of what was owed them. This was a generous gesture on Ms. Cook's part. Kathy Vossler has generously given of her time and advice in assisting Ms. Cook and her sales team in their efforts to restore the business. It is clear that MetsGuys has all the facts wrong. He owes Kathy Vossler, Heather Harding and Libby Cook a public apology.
Metsguy has been misinformed. – My name is Heather Harding and my Mom & I opened Feather Thy Nest in 2003. We loved the store & the wonderful customers that we met. We sold the shop in August of 2007 and it was our hope that it would continue to be a great place to find treasures. It is true that the next owner filed for bankruptcy in June. It is incorrect that Heather or Kathy Vossler were the owners at the time. It is also incorrect that Libby Cook is a scam artist. She and her staff are working very hard to resurrect the shop and beginning to bring it back to life. Ever since she took over the shop, she has been paying the full consignment fee to all consignors. She is also trying to pay consignors who did not get paid by the previous owners. I hope you'll give Feather thy Nest a try. It is an asset to the East End of Pearl and a great place to find unique, quality furniture and accessories for great prices.
Wonderful store – Treasure trove of household items all priced very reasonably - furniture, pillows, kitchen items - you never know what you'll find - plus sales staff is so helpful - they even carried my new bookcase to my car!
Wonderful Items, Horrible Cust. Service – Ladies there are nice, but not willing to lift a finger to help you...they could really care less :(
Great stuff and great people – I've purchased several items at FTN (new and used) and have always been very happy with the quality, price and particularly the service.
