Citysearch Editorial Review – You probably won’t come across this massive warehouse if you’re not looking for it (it's located on an industrial row somewhere between LAX and Compton) but this unlikely spot is home to Shane Brown’s eclectic collection of vintage and antique goods. Enter from the back lot and prepare for sensory overload before you even step foot inside the warehouse. The sprawling outdoor space is packed with trickling fountains, giant urns, paint-chipped chairs, pots of lavender and vintage pieces that will immediately elevate your yard’s cool factor, be it a concrete rooster or a weathered row boat. Hardly anything’s marked with prices, so be prepared to ask. Inside the 18,000-square-foot warehouse, crystal chandeliers and intricate light fixtures hang from the ceilings, artwork and mirrors cover the walls, and antique furnishings set the stage for a variety of vintage knick-knacks (globes, mounted antlers, wooden bowling pins and all manner of old school oddities). Finches chirp and flutter amidst their massive cage as you wind through kitschy kid rides, crates of French Bordeaux jugs, rows of antique mannequins and architectural accent items. Among the larger pieces, tables are especially popular, and custom creations are available. Don’t miss the upstairs loft with rugs, industrial spotlights and more. While you may not find too many bargains, reproductions are significantly less expensive than the authentic antiques. Not surprisingly, the warehouse is frequented by film and TV set designers who purchase or rent the pieces.
