Reviews for Waikiki Skyliner

Ok customer service, great value, clean rooms – I did a little research (ok, a lot of internet searching) and found this hotel. I paid $105 per night for Friday and Saturday in early January 2007. Considering the price of nearby hotels, this place was a steal. I wish it was a block closer for safety (Wai'ki'ki can get a little rough at night), but other than that it was perfect for the price. Even where it was, I had a 15 minute walk (at most - probably more like 10) to the beach and about the same to the touristy International Market and many restaurants. The room was small, but it had a twin and queen bed, so you could have easily fit a small (3 person) family. Every room (I think) has a lanai (balcony), a TV with limited cable, and a small refrigerator and coffee maker (the first pouch of coffee is free and additional ones are 1 or 2 dollars). I had a great view of the mountains and the Ala Wei canal, though I didn't see much of the ocean (a little rectangle between hotels that probably had a great view but were 2 or 3 times the price).

The bar had great service and does get a little bit of a crowd at night, though I think they're all guests. The continental breakfast is very limited (mini-doughnuts, OJ, Coffee, Crossaints and pastries with fresh fruit), though still free. They do not have a microwave anywhere!! I had to use the bar microwave, but the conceirge had to ask for me because apparently they don't like people using it. Otherwise they have every amenity you can think of (pool, jacuzzi, fitness room, free internet and soem computers for guest use).

I didn't have a car, but parking is an additional 10 dollars a day. This is standard on Wai'ki'ki. At least this hotel is valet, so only guests can use it and you're guaranteed a spot whereas other hotels do not.

I would stay here again!!
