Reviews for Chop Hair

A POSITIVE VOTE FOR CHOP HAIR! – Shame, shame, shame. How can one base the use of a shop without going there? There were 12 positive reviews and 1 bad one.....go figure. That person was unhappy and I am sorry, but there were many others who were VERY happy with the outcome of their visit. I for one am PLEASED, TICKLED, AND PUMPED with the shop and the hairdressers. My gal to go to is Amber. She is very lighthearted, funny and can talk your ear off or be happy with you taking a nap while she works on your hair. I have had color jobs and cuts, treatments and facials.....WOW! I for one will try out and form my own opinion on a shop, a store, a gas station or whatever it is. You get out what you put in. BE HAPPY....GO TO CHOP HAIR.....ASK FOR AMBER.....I WILL!

Response to "Dont GO" review – I have been to Chop Hair several times and have witnessed HIGH quality work there. I have also witnessed, while waiting my turn, clients tell the hairdresser what they wanted... the stylist does just what asked, and then the client says its nothing what she wanted! People need to remember that hairdressers can NOT read minds. They can only go by what you say. If you do not communicate correctly, of course its not going to be what you wanted. I have seen on occasion a hairdresser asking question like "Is this what you mean??", with the client saying yes.. only to call in later and say it was NOT what she wanted. Dont agree if it isnt what you want. Dont be afraid to tell the stylist that she isnt undertanding you. If there was miscommunication, the hairdresser is ALWAYS willing to correct the mistake. Try giving them a chance before trashing on them before you ruin someones life because of a communication error. Hairdressers have to eat too! As for the owner rarely being there... is that really all that unusual in the business world? Was that statement meant to be a dig? Last but not least, your comment on the stylist being "unskilled"... I'm guessing that you went straight from the womb and walked to your crib? Every one starts from the begining and learns along the way. All new young adults need the older people to encourage them and help them along the way with positive advice. No one becomes perfect over night and you are ignorant for expecting a margin of no errors. Its not like she is a doctor who killed someone. Its hair for Pete's sake... it grows back!

Just for the record... The current employees of Chop Hair are both fabulous at what they do! They both do well at everything, but one is really good with color and the other is totally gifted at weaves! You wont be sorry to stop in and give them a chance.

Don't Go – Do not recommend! I went to Chop because of the great reviews I saw online. None of the stylist mentioned in the reviews appear to be still working there. The owner is there rarely and the stylist that did my hair was unskilled. She insisted to color and cut the way she wanted. The color was splotchy and the hair around my face was colored so badly I had to have it fixed immediately. The cut did not suit me as I have wavy/curly hair. I spent the next day at supercuts getting my cut and color repaired. It is still not perfect but sooooo much better. She did three processes that day so I have to be careful about doing too much color correction as to not damage further. Do not go because of reviews online as you will be gravely disappointed.
