Good Place - Great for a quick night out or lunch – I took my kids to dinner there last night. The kids loved the cheese bread. My kids ordered what they always do at this ype of place, Noodles | chicken strips. They were satisfied. They have all you can drink pop for the kids. We ordered off the kids menu, it is not expensive.
I had the steak and prawns special. Now don't go thiking you are going to get a John Howie or Daniels type steak at a place like this. You won't. But like I said above, this place is more like a really good Red Robin - and priced about the same.
But for 24.95 it was decent steak - flavor was good, it came out hot, and it was a nice piece of meat cooked to my asking.
All the dinners came out at the same time. We had to wait a little bit for drinks, but not terribly long.
I would eat there again.
For the 3 of us the total bill came to about $58. Which was not bad as we ordered a lot of stuff, including a HUGE liter beer.
I would go there again.
(for those who know me -- I am writing this review to test FB connect on City Search - I have not lost my mind and now sit around Saturday mornings writing reviews for small chain Restaurants....)
Never ever going back. – Silverware was dirty- that's when we should have got up and left, but we dine out alot so that, by itself, could just be an off night thing. Then service was s-l-o-w, my food was cold, and the wait person was pushy about making it right. Neither my partner nor myself liked or ate most of our main courses which both tasted like canned ingredients ruled. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, no adjustment to the bill was made! You can get a better meal at Taco Bell and that's not saying much.
There is no love sincerer than the love of food. – They welcome you by opening the door and greeting you with a smile. Which not only makes you feel at ease, but you feel as if the welcome is genuine and not just something they are suppose to do, and when you enter Canyons Restaurant you assume based on the architecture and the surroundings it is some type of Southwestern or Tex Mex Restaurant, like Two Dagos in Downtown Seattle. However... You would be quite wrong in that assumption.
What time would I suggest you try it? Anytime!~!!
Whether it is lunch time, happy hour or dinner, all these times are great times also, because everything is consistent. From the friendly greeters, the knowledgeable waiters/waitress, right down to the bartenders, servers and Management.
This is my only option if you want to take your family, or just stop by for a drink after work and a meal, because you do not want to cook once you get home. I must admit my favorite place to eat use to be The Outback, do not get me wrong...I love their food and always will, but... As for consistently professional service with extremely friendly staff and food that is amazingly cooked to perfection and just a nice atmosphere be around while eating ... I choose Canyons, there is nothing generic about this place.
The food placement and the beautiful colors on the plates of other people around you will cause your eyes to look everywhere while you are walking to your seat, and even before you get the food in your mouth, the surrounding tables around you will get your mouth watering in anticipation.
What do I recommend? Anything and everything, there is nothing on the Canyons Restaurant menu that is bad or that I consider just okay, everything is superb. Anything you put in your mouth at Canyons makes your taste buds pop with happiness, and puts a Kool-Aid smile on your face.
You don't have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces - just good food from fresh ingredients.
Average food at best – I finally checked this place out and wasn't impressed. I had the fajitas. They weren't that great. Mostly onions and peppers and not very good flavor. This place is your typical chain restaurant that doesn't offer anything worth writing home about. I'd much rather go to Chili's if I'm picking this type of chain. If you live in redmond and know the area at all, no need to go here. There are so many better places to go. If you are passing through town and need a place to grab some food and stop here I wo'nt blame you for going.
Good place for groups – They have a nice menu with some variety. The food was good - fresh and tasty - and the drinks. There's plenty of room if you have a large group. The wait staff was very good. It was a bit loud, though.
good food and service – i ordered the nachos and a magruerita and was a very happy camper with the good service. menu wasn't too exciting, just standard tex-mex, but it worked
A reasonable price for good food! – With a spacious dining area, Canyons Restuarant in Redmond was overall a great experience. For an inexpensive cost, Canyons Restuarant can be a tasty treat for anyone. The menu overall caters to a wide variety of taste buds, both adults and children. I particularly liked the coconut shrimp and dipping sauce which complimented each other with a nice tangy yet spicy twist to it. For dinner I ordered the enchalada verde which was also very flavorful and the portions were huge. I definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a great meal at a reasonable price.
Awesome appetizers – Let's just say that if you start your meal with appetizers you will be very pleased. The coconut shrimp with thai dipping sauce were amazing! The sauce had just the right amount of spice and a great peanut flavor that wasn't at all overwhelming. The ambience had a nice southwestern vibe that wasn't overdone. Which is interesting, because the menu also has a southwestern vibe, but the choices are all over the map. Including thai flavors, american burgers, and pasta.
The restaurant had a very casual vibe and seemed to be a great choice for parents to bring their children. The service was prompt and friendly. For your money you got a ton of food. My friends and I planned to get dessert, but none of us could get more than halfway through our meals. I will definitely go back next time I want a good bang for my buck.
Two thumbs up!! – I stopped by Canyons for the first time after work with a few friends and we had a blast. The mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce hit the spot and the chicken fajitas marinated in chipotle sauce was a great entree. It seems like there is something for everyone on the menu, which features an eclectic blend of international dishes. Even better, everything was reasonably priced and we were seated and served promptly. The restaurant is well laid out to accommodate both large and small groups. Don't forget to try the strawberry margarita, it won't disappoint.
a fun place to eat! – This brightly colored restaurant is very inviting. The service was great and the atmosphere was fun! I absolutely recommend the coconut prawns and the honey lime chicken for a healthy choice. This is a great place to go with friends and family.
