GREAT FOOD! However beware of...read more – Beware of them charging your credit card more than what you paid for. My bill was 26.35 and i checked my bank statement today to find that they charged my account $33.53. Of course I called and the cashier said she needed to go home to check records of yesterdays transactions. I found that some what odd. Also she said it may have rang up as a tip included but I ALWAYS when going to buffets make sure to cross out the tip section. Why would I tip a all you can eat buffet?
This is one of my favorite chinese restaurants – Looks like people either hate it or love it. I love it, along with several of my co-workers. I've never heard anyone personally complain about it, although I've heard complaints about one or two specific items. Like their fried calamari dish is way too salty, or at least it used to be. They may have improved this. You can't beat the variety; there's something for everyone. Even my picky 3 and 6 year old love it. My husband says it's "okay, nothing special", but everyone else I know really likes it, and it's often the restaurant of choice among friends and co-workers.
I do think the food is better (fresher) during regular eating times,. But then again, there is the risk of an item running out at the regular times as well, although it's not a long wait until they refill it.
Best chinese around – I don't know why anyone would give this place any bad ratings, unless their just rude and selfish and... well typically people one wouldn't want to deal with anyways. I love going to this place, the waitresses know my face and are always kind to me. Once when I had ordered a meal to go the waitress asked me if I was thirsty and brought me a glass of water while I was waiting for my food.
Their food is very good, not as good as when they had first opened but times are tuff right now and I don't blame them for that. The mood inside is very calming with beautiful asian style decorations. They have a very nice room in the back for parties that my family and I have used once and a while for special occasions. The prices are good, and I just love it when I buy a dinner meal to go, the price is good and the amount of food you walk away with is phenominal! it's been enough to feed me for three days. easily worth a few 7 to 9 bucks.
bad chinese food, rude waitresses – Me and my husband went there at 2:00 pm to celebrate my birthday. We started eating the food was ok nothing too spectacle. The waitresses is beyond rude, she doesn't refill our drinks, we get our bill and see that it is the lunch price and we were not done eating yet so we keep eating and this waitress (who speaks horrible english) she is trying to explain something to us, something about dinner. She confuses us to the point that we are about to leave. She tells us since we arrived to the restaurant before 3 we cannot eat any of the seafood dishes that are for dinner. If she would have just given us the price for dinner we wouldn't have cared. They will never see us again!
NOT Chinese food at all....bad taste/ trashy food – It's a shame that it's even called Chinese food. There are definitely better American Chinese restaurants out there. It's cheap food but it's not worth it at all! Much worse than Panda express. I went there a couple of times just coz my friends went and I felt like I was being held hostage. I hate to waste food but the first time I went there I only had one bite of everything and had to throw away the whole plate. The 2nd time, I only had 2 bites of the bad tasting noodles and that was it. Definitely will not go again, even if my friends ask me to. Much rather have burgers!
Greatest Chinese Food EVER! – In the mood for chinese food? Forget Panda Express or Safeway. Canton Buffet offers all-you-can-eat for $10, and cheaper than that for lunchtime. They serve any type of Chinese food you can imagine (even crab puffs!), as well as sushi, crab legs, and bananas in chocolate pudding. I bring all my dates here and have yet to hear somebody say they didn't like it. The food is absolutely AMAZING!
Best ORNAMENTAL food in town!!! – I thought I had tried everything in town until I ran across this place. If you get there and something is missing or not fresh in the buffet, you tell the owner and he "hooks it up" immediately. Noit only are they FRESH but they also offer the BEST variety out of all the buffets in Vancouver I have been to. From potstickers to shusi to crab legs and the delicious list goes on!!! I love it and my kids love it!
The food is awful. taste more like microwave food. – I don't know why they are so busy there, maybe is location. I will never ever go there again, their food is average, but the cleaness of the restaurant is awful. Restroom is dirty, lady who puts out food to the buffet just hand picked the old food back to the new tray.
Cheap food, cheap service – The food is alright, but i hope they can provide a little better service there. I sat down with a glass of water, since that point, no one bother to come and take away the plates, nor refill the water.
Will not return again.
