The salt-glazed pottery of Maine's Monroe Salt Works, with its rustic wildflower, moose and crow designs, is but one attraction: linens and jewelry, ranging from sterling silver to hand-blown Venetian glass, are available, as well as cards and wrapping paper. Kids visiting this child-friendly store can head straight for the store's selection of old-fashioned tin toys.
