Horrible Evening. This is one the most over-rated restaurants I have ever been to. The food was overpriced, the band was so loud my party of six could not even hear each other and then I had a problem with the bill at the end of the dinner. My family was celebrating my daughter's engagement and a birthday and an evening of just being together and getting to know each other. The night was awful. I had called for reservations the day before and they put a party of six on the deck at a high-top table where the table supports cut us across the shins the whole meal. The two piece band was so loud we could not hear each other (and no one was hardly on the deck.. why did it have to be so loud?) . When I mentioned it to the manager when I had the disagreement over the bill, she said 'when you called you should have asked for a table away from the live music" Don't you think someone should have mentioned it to ME? I was not aware of the situation. And then the bill.. I had showed the waitress, before we ordered, a vendor coupon for up to $60 off the bill and she said it was fine. When the bill finally came, I was told they couldn't accept it and was told to contact the vendor myself , as their relationship with the vendor ended in June. This was even though my certificate had an August 26th expiration date. I was totally furious at this point and refused to pay the extra $60. My family was upset and a bit embarrassed by the whole mess and it still cost me $300 It was a horrible night. The food was just OK, but very overpriced and ala carte. If you are looking for a good place to have dinner and drinks by the water, Find some other place ... Table 28 is not where you want to go,.
good but pricey for what you get. Table 28 is casual upscale with nice dark wood interiors and a deck overlooking the water. Parking is horrible, all valet (at least what we could find) and they're slow. Food was good, not great. We had the BBQ pork loin, pasta with veggies and chicken parm. Again, it was fine but just not outstanding and with one drink each, the bill for 3 came to over $100 with tip. A little bit much for what we had, I don't mind paying more for good food and good service, but didn't feel this measured up. The waitress had a cute personality, just disappeared too often. Restaurant was busy but not THAT busy! Water never refilled until we asked...the little things. Deck looked fun - they had a live band, so maybe that is the place to be. We didn't have reservations so couldn't be seated there. Overall, I'd recommend the deck area and stick to burgers and such, otherwise be prepared to pay more for average food.
