NEVER EVER AGAIN – it's one thing to have a couple of douches try to bully their way onto the pool table and when they don't get their way, throw a handful of quarters at your head and stomp around threatening to kill your entire group of friends and your family--it's another thing to then have the tall skinny bouncer with dreads come back and not give a shit. he enabled their supreme douchery and was horribly rude about the whole ordeal and refused kick out the lunatic asshat whose 'roid rage was ruining everyone's night. go back to long island and stay there.

For a Good Time go to Kabin – My friends and I were trying to go to Lit across the street and were not let in so we just so happened to stumble into the Kabin! We literally had a f-ing AWESOME time. The jukebox has a nice selection and the bartender was not only super fun, but she was very easy on the eyes.

We closed the place down at 4am and I have been back at least once a week since. I LOVE THIS BAR!

Purse Stolen Here- BEWARE! – Last night we were sent by the door guy at Mayahauel to Cabin to have a drink while we waited for a table to become available. We were a group of 8 people sitting together in the front of the bar. At some point in the 30 minutes we were there, my purse was stolen. The bar tender informed me purses were stolen "all the time" there. If you go to Cabin be careful and make sure to keep for bags/wallets close.

Great place for great simple fun! – Kabin is a place that no one really pays attention to which is great! it's a simple bar, with flat screens, great place for games, there's a pool table in the back, and there's the occasional comedy show which is funny as hell...just an overall simple great place!

KABIN the BEST!! – I hate reading these negative reviews! I must stick up for Kabin!! people have one bad experience and then try and smear the reputation of one of the coolest bars in the east vill. You people are just whack! Kabin is large enough to find a nook for you and your group no matter how big. Absolutely ! Hands down! The best pool table area in the city. Buck hunter, Mega touch, and a very unique intimate back lounge room that you can reserve for FREE!! (first come first serve) The lounge really separates this bar from the rest. It's a completely different habitat than the rest of the place, great DJ's hot girls!!!! I've had my Bday here twice.....AWESOME!! private space for me and my friends and fam to chill, dance, bugout whatever ! and when we want to smoke or shoot pool we just do it and then return to our private lounge oasis. As for the staff, Kabin has great bartenders!! they show alotta love! I love a girl with personality and a sense of humor! and that describes all of them. all you negative reviewers are better off going to some hotel bar or club and spend $20 for a drink served by a cold lifeless model who thinks you should tip her cause she's pretty! Overall, all you critiques out there need to take the stick out of your butt and adhere to the ageold motto " If you can't say anything nice, keep your #@%$* mouth shut!" KABIN IS THE BEST! Stop hating!

Wannabe cougar running the bar – Some girlfriends and I were looking for a chill place to unwind, we had heard alot of good reviews about this place, and for the most part it was fine, the only problem I had was with the bartender. Can we say cougar wannabe?! She ignore me and my friends for quite sometime and instead occupied her time pushing her saggy breasts stuffed into a pleather halter top in the face of some traumatized twenty something who was clearly not interested in her, I mean I get that desperate housewives is all the rage right now, but she was a bit over the top, in fact i was embarassed for her. Jumping on the bar? That is so 90s, and maybe it worked for her back then in her hay day but I swear I heard her knees creak when she hobbled up there.Maybe she was trying to re-enact Cyote Ugly? She's definately got the ugly down, save your money and you sanity, do not go here!!

WTF! – In town with a few friends, after a light hearted night of cheer, headed to what appeared to be a low-key, welcoming establishment...unfortunately the facade was the only welcoming aspect of Kabin. Yes, it is Kabin with a k whcih was kind of annoying but anyway, yes the drinks were cheap, the lounge was a cool concept..but the bartender/maid had quite the chip upon her short little shoulder! Perhaps it was the lack of patrons, perhaps it was PMS, maybe her girlfriend broke up with her or maybe she forgot to take her meds...whatever the case may have been - we were generous paying customers - there was no need to take her issues out on us! Her smart little comments were unwarrented and unappreciated...sometimes one has to realize that sarcasism really only works when your young, cute and mean no harm - this lady was none of those things!

Greatest Place in the East Village! – This is by FAR one of my favorite discoveries in the East Village. This is a casual bar ( but has a great lounge in the back and a pool table) It's a great place to meet up for a drink and unwind with friends.

The service is great whenever I have been in . Our usual bartender ( brown hair..bangs-adorable with a killer sense of humor) was extremely attentive and made us feel right at home. She also had great drink suggestions and chatted with us like old friends as she mixed them up for us

The jukebox has some great music and if it doesn't have a song you want, you can download it right onto the jukebox.

I also meet up for happy hour here sometimes after work b.c of the great drink specials ( Who can go wrong with buy one get one free?) Nice selection of draught beers as well. All in all, this is one of my favorite places. It attracts a fun crowd, the bartenders are super friendly ( and as a plus seem to be die hard Yankee fans) All in all, Iove Kabin ( yes with a K) See you at happy hour!

WORST BARTENDER EVER – I was reluctant to give this place even one star. The bartender was horrible. She kept deleting music from the jukebox that my group paid for and when asked why, she proceeded to curse our group out dropping f-bombs left and right. So we stopped tipping her which made her angrier and proceeded to insult everyone in my group. Mind you, my group of 15ppl WERE HER ONLY PATRONS. You would figure she would attempt to be nice, since she already made $50 in tips from us, but no.

I work as a bartender and I know the best way to get a tip is to NOT insult your only guests at the bar. WORSE PLACE EVER.
