Really awesome coffee – I had really really good coffee here. I love all the flavors.
Top-quality coffee for Williamsburg's hip caffeine addicts. – In Short
The impeccably roasted coffee is the draw at this small Brooklyn cafe, although the espresso drinks and hot chocolate are also popular. Oslo's design is spare Williamsburg chic--antique equipment and a few tables are all that fill the space. Stylish locals sip on coffee while leafing through design magazines as a long line waits for the bustling baristas. The bags of ground coffee aren't cheap, but true gourmands will find them worth the price.
Great Staff – Oslo is great. I go there all the time to get coffee and hang out. The staff is always friendly and they know what I want when I go in. The people who work there always go out of their way to be friendly without being "corperate fake-friendly" you can tell that they really care about working there.
Good coffee...but – I'm somewhat annoyed with Oslo. I live in the neighborhood, and used to go there every morning for coffee, but when I switched to decaf and realized that you can't get anything without caffeine for under $3.00. Annoying. Then, one day, I ordered a bagel to go, and they didn't even cut it. Just put it in a paper bag with a plastic knife and a couple of ice cold butter pats. What am I supposed to do with THAT? Finally, one day I was working on my computer at one of the tables, and the dude working there opened the front door...on a day when it was 20 degrees outside. I go to Roebling Tea Room now for my tea AND my coffee, because they've got their act together and they have a delicious product.
Fantastic coffee, friendly neighborhood service!!! – I only discovered Oslo when they opened a new location on Bedford Ave (S. 2nd & S. 3rd). Great lattes, very friendly staff. I go there daily and the staff always treats me well. Great neighborhood feel. They take their coffee making very seriously and I appreciate that. I recommend this coffee shop to anyone, even if you are just visiting the hood.
hmmm... i like them – hahaha... okay, I changed my mind about OSLO Coffee. I guess one day, I decided to give them a shot when Verb was closed... and I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff was... (HUGE improvement from the last batch of rude ones they had for awhile) ... so, in short, their coffee is ALWAYS yummi & it's close to the house... and the baristas are sweet (now) YEAH!
