good for a quick bite to eat – Nothing special here. Nothing disappointing either. Pretty much like a Moe's, except that Salsarita's have those tortilla shells for the salads, which I was very pleased with. Clean, friendly and quick. Their flavored sour cream was nice. Not authentic Mexican but I can deal with that. Perfect for kids. Overall, I was pleased with it and would prefer it over the other restaurants similar to it.
NEW OWNERSHIP & GREAT IMPROVEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! – The Salsarita's @ Brier Creek has reopened and is under NEW OWNERSHIP!!!!!!!!!! It is great! The catering is top notch. I love this location! The customer service is awesome. VERY CLEAN! Portions are large. I LOVE the mexican pizzas!
Glad you are open – I am glad they are reopened . I think it is under new management, Food was great and the service was friendly. Glad you are back. My favorite is steak burrito and combo queso a real bargin. Huge burritos
Mexican burritos, tacos, and quesadillas made to order in a fast food setting, but with exceptionally healthy and tasty choices. – In Short
The faux Mexican trimmings are all here -vivid primary colors painted walls, working class murals and latticed rebar. Salsa music is piped in. Bt Salsarita's lives up to the freshness promised in its moniker. Tacos and burritos are the main fare, while fresh fillings include rice, beans, vegetables, cheese, guacamole, black olives and four choices of salsa. Choose from beef, chicken, steak, shrimp or vegetarian.
Food Poor, Service Fair, Staff Poor – Since we are in America, it would be nice to order in English and the staff understand English. I sometimes would question the origin of the meat (blue tupperware). I stopped visiting Salsarita's after a Friday night dinner gave me my weekend plans (a weekend in the bathroom).
Pros: Cheap Fast Food
Cons: A language barrier, Poor food quality
bummer! – Looks like this Salsarita location has been removed from the Salsarita franchise location list already. Guess that's the end of lunch chip combos. Doesn't appear that they are coming back. I also checked the Wake County inspection scores, but they did fine (97.5 in June) so they weren't due for an inspection that might have closed them down. Must have been a financial closure...they took the posters and anything containing the Salsarita name inside I noticed.
"Closed until further notice" – My wife and I attempted to eat their last night (9/03/08) and came across a sign that read "Closed until further noticed." Too bad, we really enjoyed the place.
Great food, great service – I work in the RTP area and only go out to lunch once a week. Nine times out of ten, I go to Salsarita's. The food is great - esp. the steak burrito.
You can have more food than you need to eat (incl. chips & a drink) for $7.50 ... that's a bit high for me, but hey - you're eating in Brier Creek - that's about standard.
It's busy, but never too loud, and they have outdoor seating, both in the shade and in the sun, which is a definite plus.
Check them out - they're worth a try, at least!
Best Burrito House in Raleigh – Sweet mother this place rocks. I work at IBM in the RTP and came over with a few friends of mine that eat here religiously. It was Friday lunch and the place was hoping, with a line back to the door of 25 or more people. I wanted to go over to Jason's Deli and eat 'cause their fast, but my buddies just said to watch it'll go quick. Sure enough I was sitting and chowing down on my Quesadilla in no time flat. The food was 10 times better than the hell hole across the street and I didn't have to hear "welcome to hell" everytime someone walked in the door (Moe's if you don't know what I'm talking about). The food was Great!!!! and I got sour cream and guac with my quesadilla and didn't get charged extra... that never happens at Smoe's. There's a bald guy there my buddies said was the owner and he started the service and they were a hell of alot faster than I would have ever thought... we had to have been through the line in 6 min and the HOT SALSA is @**%$ Hot as Hell, had to switch to medium, so don't try the hot if you're a pooh. And don't waste your time at Moe's, the food stinks, trust me.
Great food and value – Went there yesterday with a coupon and got one of their large Burritos. It had to be the biggest thing on the planet and tasted a heck of a lot fresher than everything comes out of bag Moe's. I couldn't eat all of it for sure. I've got to say I've eaten at the Moe's across the street a few times because of it being at Wal-mart, but Salsarita's was better. A coupon we got in the mail brought me and my wife in and I spent a heck of alot less money on her's than I would have at Moe's and we both got to put whatever we wanted in our food and didn't get nickled to death like we do at other places. The service was alot faster, too. I'll be going back there, it's easier getting in an out than at the Wal-mart, which drives me crazy.
