Excellent Customer Service, Went above and beyond to explain – My Tech was Ben and he was absolutely Fantastic!!
My dishwasher would not drain, another company recommended that I replace it because a pump went out and it would be too expensive to repar.
I called American Eagle for a second opinion and Ben came out and ran several diagnotics and determined that my pump was working fine, I just had a clogged line!
He blew out the line and correctly routed the drain line so it was higher than the disposal to avoid the situation from repeating itself.
He also ran a product called dishwasher magic to clean out any remaining build up inside the machine, Put everything back together with new screws and brackets ....It works great!
Ben was professional and explained everything to me, I would highly recommend him to anyone that wants a honest opinion and someone that takes to time to discover the problem, not just recommend you buy a new one!
My Dishwasher runs like new!
I am Extremely Happy with their service !
Bad Attitude / Expensive – The worst, will never call them again. Ben's attitude was smug and condescending. It started from the phone call, where he was hard to understand and told me he couldn't come for 2 days. When I asked if there was anything sooner AND I told him the exact problem as explained to me by the manufacturer. He said he could come the next morning. Nothing about costs for parts which he said he had on hand, nothing about his service charge. Just "I'll be there between 10 and noon."
When he arrived he acted as though he was doing us a favor but that "this might not solve the problem..." Really? Did I need the lesson on how things get repaired? Then he said it would be $250! The part was $100 and his labor would be $150. When I asked if his hourly rate was $150 he said ,"that's what things cost these days." Had I known, I would have called another company. I wish I had checked the reviews before I called. HORRIBLE experience from what should be a "service" company.
BAD COMPANY TO CONTACT – Our range has no power so we called these guys to come and see if they could fix it because a year or so ago they had fixed our dryer. The appt was for 11-2 on a Saturday. We arranged our morning to be home. I was called at 10:45 to tell me that our home was OUTSIDE their coverage area!! WHAT?? They have already come here. The guy said he didn't know why they had scheduled us in the first place. Well let me tell you.... it was the SAME guy! He was hard to understand the first time and just as hard to understand the second time. There was no mistake that it was him. They are in Round Rock and don't service our Pflugerville rural area because we have a Coupland mailing address?? C'mon. Look at a map! Never again with these people. If they are not bright enough to pull up Mapquest, I don't need them looking at my appliances.
Can fix it, but with rip off price – My girl friend had a refrigerator stopped working early this month. She made a service call. They sent a serviceman fairly quick and he could fix it in 5 min because it was a simple problem.
He charged over $300 for that. That's a way over-charge. Even brand service centers wouldn't charge that much. Invoice had no breakdown for parts and labor, just total charge. I figure the part could cost around $75 max and the remaining $225 is labor charge for the 5 min job.
Extra effort...great service – Our refrigerator was making a whistling noise. American Eagle sent out a tech the next day and he found the problem and replaced a worn cooling fan.
Then he took an extra 15 minutes to explain to me what the problem was and he showed me how to clean the grill properly to avoid this problem in the future. He made sure I could remove and replace the grill without damaging it. I've never seen that kind of extra effort before...they're a great company!
Great service and informed technician who explained everything – My refrigerator was messing up. I called several appliance repair places and either their service calls were expensive or no one could check out my refrigerator for days... I called American Eagle. By that afternoon Mike showed up. He quickly found out what the problem was (the "board" had gone out). He took the time to explain and visually show me what the problem was. He had the parts and fixed it within minutes. Mike was extremely professional and cleaned up after himself. His customer service exceeded all my expectations. Now, I thought the total bill was a bit pricy ($348.00), but I don't know what the cost of a "board" is or even what his hourly rate was, so it may have been that it was a fair price. I know the service call was just $49.99, which is way better than some other appliance repair guys. As for Mike - he knew his stuff! Two thumbs up for American Eagle Appliance Repair!
