I purchased my first new vehicle through Courtesy Ford. My sales rep was Steve and I had a great experience throughout the entire process. I knew exactly which 2013 Ford Focus I was interested in when I set up my appointment, and I was not pressured to spend more money than I wanted to. Financing options were presented clearly and Spencer in Finance was also great to work with. I would have no hesitations recommending Courtesy Ford and Steve to anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free new car-buying experience.
Bought a 2011 Fiesta and within a short time brought it back because of transmission issues. They looked at at it and said they couldn't find a problem.
Problem continued, the jerking and lurching between gears was bad enough it posed a danger to pedestrians in a crosswalk (as car slows to idling speeds it will sometimes lurch forward). I called Ford to see if there was a recall. They said no.
Problem continued, brought it back to the dealer, they said, "Oh yeah, this model is known for its problems with transmissions" (go online and check out Consumer Reports who rated the transmission as "Much Worse Than Average", not to mention the multiple consumers who have
reviewed the car with the same problems) The dealership did nothing to correct the problem.
Problem has worsened,and recently I brought it back to dealer and they began to try to sell me a new car. Not one to buy impulsively, I left to think about it. A salesperson contacted me three times three times the next afternoon. This seemed like sales pressure, so I told him
once would have been enough. Later that evening, I returned to the dealership and was met with stony glares by the sales and finance team. It felt very uncomfortable. The salesperson then tried to sell me a used car that had been a Rental vehicle. I left not happy with the experience.
I think the sales team of Courtesy Ford is a sham. They try to come across as customer service oriented, pretend to be "nice" but nothing seems farther from the truth in my experience.I sent in a survey with feedback, because they claim to care. No one has responded.
I have a Ford car that I am unhappy with, a dealership that has done nothing about it, and has treated me poorly. Hope this helps in others avoiding a bad experience.
I just purchased a new truck from Courtesy Ford and enjoyed my experience. Scott with Internet sales helped me and did a great job. He was very knowledgeable about the truck I bought and worked with me on price. There was not much haggling and they gave me a deal I was comfortable with. They also worked with me on my trade in so I felt like I got a good price for my old truck. They were even nice enough to let me take the truck after I signed the papers and return with my wife the next day so she could sign. I would recommend using this dealership to anyone and I will defiantly return for my next vehicle purchase.
I choose Courtesy Ford over all the other dealers because of the awesome knowledge of the sales people. I dealt with Anthony and Ben and both guys blew me away with how much they knew and how much time and effort they were willing to take to get me the perfect vehicle. Every one was great! Alyssa in finance was great as well. If you want to experience a modern car dealership this is the place. They truely care about the customer and have set themselves aside. Don't bother. – On 9/20 my partner and I went to purchase a truck. We looked at the F-150 FX4, Good truck. Ended up getting it.
Here's where things went wrong.
The finance people jerked us around, changed the price of the truck, the interest rate (changed 3 times) and the amount down changed (3 times). The lied to us over the phone twice, and are un-responsive when you call.
AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP. There are better ones to work with in the Portland area.
MUSTANG FEVER ONLINE!! – I was recently in a car accident and had to replace my car.
I was not in the best of moods to begin with because my old car was a birthday present and a rare "pony edition" which could not be found. Not to mention I had just paid it off.
I got online to start my search and contacted the internet department at Courtesy Ford and a few other dealers.
The Internet searching was a great new tool - I loved being able to shop right on my patio without having to go to every dealership in Portland. I guess it helped that I new what kind of car - just needed to find it.
Ammie Jose returned my inquiry right away and found just the right car. She laid out a great deal that the other dealers did not (a couple of them could not even find the same car). She was very patient with me as I was still dealing with the Insurance company and the delay was frustrating.
Once I was ready - I called Ammie, told her I would be in that night - but she was off and directed me to David Townley - said he would take care of me - and he did.
Since Ammie had laid out the car price with the rebates already and I was agreeable - all we had to do was agree upon a trade-in amount for my truck. That took a little wheeling & dealing - but we finally reached an agreeable amount.
They knew how desperate I was to get wheels under me again - so they sent a driver the next day up to Seattle to retrieve the car and had it back by 6:30 om and I was on the road by 8:30pm tank filled, car washed and fully instructed on all the new toys my car came with.
Thank you Ammie and Dave - you made this whole ordeal a little more bearable.
Best experience I've had with a dealership – 1. Wonderful, friendly service
2. Good prices
3. Clean, well maintained used cars
4. Would I buy from them again? Yes!
I had been looking for a family car for a couple months where I live in Washington, with little success. The majority of dealers I went to were pushy, friendly if they thought they could close a deal, and had poorly maintained used cars. There were budget and family friendly used cars out there, but it was difficult to find one that screamed "buy me!"
Discouraged and wondering if we would find a good car, my fiance and I were delighted to stumble on Courtesy Ford's inventory on the internet. Their prices were great, and after calling them up, I was very pleased that they were able to work with me on the price of the car I was looking at (2006 Mercury Milan).
There was only one challenge though. I live 170 miles away from the dealership! I was very interested in the car, but it was difficult to find time to cart the family all the way down there. Like heroes to the rescue though, Anthony from sales drove the milan 3 hours to my house, with someone following him to drive him back. With no strings attached, no commitment to buy, nodda. I was rather shocked.
Anthony arrived with the car late in the evening. The Milan was beautifully detailed and serviced, drove perfectly, and was very comfortable. Happily, I sat down at my kitchen table, filled out the paperwork, and bought the car :)
After having it for a month, I am still super happy with it, and everyone I talk to is always amazed at the price and service I received from Courtesy Ford!
I WAS LYED TO AT COURTESY FORD – DONT GO TO COURTESY FORD, SALESMEN WILL LIE TO YOU. I WAS PROMISED AND GUARENTEED THAT MY DEAL WOULD WORK AND THEY WOULD GET THIS DONE PROMISED, BY 2 SALESMEN, I STATED I DID NOT WANT TO DRIVE 200 MILES IF THEY COULD NOT GET THIS DONE, CALLED THE MORNING BEFORE AND WAS PROMISED 0 DOWN, PAYMENTS 700 OR BELOW, AND GOOD INTEREST RATE, THEY CAME BACK WITH A PAYMENT OF 900.00 A MONTH AND STATED THATS WHY I DID NOT WANT TO DRIVE UP HERE DUE TO I WAS LYED TO, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO COURTESY FORD DUE TO CANNOT TRUST A THING THEY STATE, THE ONLY THING WORST THAN A LIEING ATTORNEY IS COURTESY FORD, POTLAND, OR I DO NOT EVEN RATE THIS DEALER.
