Great atmosphere, very cozy & warm, excellent service – A new favorite Denver restaurant. Limited menu, but not a drawback at all. Very tasty! They offer a 'scrumptious' wine of the day & priced at $8 per glass. They serve my favorite coffee: Novo.
Praiseworthy dining in a stylish, comfortable Capitol Hill spot. – The Scene
Tiny copper lights snake along the ceiling of this one room space, creating a warm glow throughout. Exposed brick, pale wood flooring and mint-colored accents including a plaid wall lend to the subtle and inviting effect. Waist-high corrugated copper surrounds the in-dining room kitchen, allowing visitors at thoughtfully sized tables to keep an eye on prize.
Innovative accompaniments and fresh, seasonal ingredients are mainstays of Chef Scott Parker tasteful creations. Pearl onion and Parmesan soup presents a smooth, creamy start. When dipped in a light barbecue sauce vinaigrette, decadent chicken confit rolled in crispy phyllo brings pleasure to even demanding palates. Cured tomatoes, leek jus and fresh peas highlight a light rigatoni option, while tender, mouthwatering beef brisket sinfully mixes with blue cheese and pecan mashed potatoes. Hot, powdered beignets that squirt molten chocolate are a don't-miss finale.
Simply a great place! – The food is always excelenet, have never had a bad dish. The service is awesome - friendly & helpful. If you have not been this is a great spot for a date for sure. I would go to this place everyday if I could afford it.
Disappointing Experience – After a disappointing experience, I will never return nor recommend this restaurant. The food was not as exciting as others describe and the service left much to be desired. First a host staff who seems to selectively chose to ask patrons to hang their coats. Ours were not taken, despite the fact they were long and draped to the floor on the back of our chairs. Our waiter seemed more interested in upping our tab to ensure a good tip than genuine, good service. To top it off, we were asked to vacate our table for the people "biting at their knuckles to be seated" despite the fact we were not even through with our wine---a terrible disappointment for such a trendy,"classy" restaurant. A user on 11/30/07 wrote about a similar experience. The friend I was dining with had also experienced a rude hostess on a prior occasion (during a business dinner).
Best American Cuisine – One of the most original places in town. Yes, they are small and there is no way to get a quit table. Once you have paid and see people waiting for this amazing food, it is polite to get up and move to the bar to finish your coffee or if you have paid. All in all, it is a cozy, wonderful, family and friends experience at table 6. The food amazing, the wine wonderful, staff is like family. A neighborhood enjoying the wonderful cuisine of a community at large! Large and real, yes there are some complications on the weekends, but it is still one of the best places in Denver. It gives Denver some dynamic character that this city deserves.
Good food, lousy service – I have been to this restaurant twice, once on business and the other with a friend. The first time I was greeted promptly but when I asked for a quiet table, I was surprised by the tone of the response I received from the server who stated that she could not guarantee a quiet table as the restaurant is open and she can not predict the future. The second time, my girlfriend and I, not finished with our meal, were asked to move to the bar because there were people waiting to be seated. We frequent several restaurants in the Denver area as locals and could not believe the terrible service at this restaurant. Even though the food was mediocre, the service and the feeling we had leaving the establishment made the overall experience one we regret. We will not return to this restaurant.
amazing – Located a few blocks northwest of the Cherry Creek Mall, a modest storefront on the corner of a leafy residential street opens into the inviting space that is Table 6. Here on the 2 nights that we visited, the open kitchen (flanked by a simple bar and the seating area) turns out dish after well-thought out dish with minimal drama & fuss. Standouts were the roasted chicken (and its companion poached egg in a jalapeno cornbread "nest") and the duck confit, as well as a salmon special served with pasta and the most delicious pureed pistachio and lemon sauce. Deserts were remarkable (you probably haven't lived until a hot beignet has exploded its molten chocolate contents in your mouth), and matched with an unusual selection of desert wines & ports, on a par with the excellent wine list. Overall an excellent and well valued choice for dinner away from the usual Cherry Creek crowds
Our Absolute FAVORITE Denver restaurant – My fiance and I have been to Table 6 3xs now - first for his birthday, then when he proposed and lastly for Valentine's and every time has been fabulous! There are so many expensive restaurants in the Cherry Creek/ Capitol Hill area and this one by far is worth every penny.
The key to getting a good table and no waiting at Table 6 if it's for less than 6 people is to get there around opening.
Our service every time was helpful and informative.
The food is always scrumptious? the combinations of flavors they come up with are so creative. I had veal breast in a tomato-based sauce with ravioli and basil? it was all so fresh and flavorful! Every appetizer we?ve started with and dessert we?ve ended with makes our mouths water and stomachs ultra-satisfied!
For every special occasion we go to Table 6!
delicious halibut – great food, great service. they were out of the duck both times we visited, so i really want to try that dish next time. very knowledgeable staff, and excellent service.
Horrible experience horrible service horrible food – A group of friends met for dinner one night at Table 6. We had terrible service...waited for OVER 20 minutes to give a drink order, received cold food...then had to ask for silverware...and on top of it all had a waitress with an attitude.
I was expecting so much more given several other reviews...we won't be returning...I am happy to give my money to a staff that actually provides service...not attitude.
