Liars!! – When I joined they talked me into using their personal trainer and towel service for an extra $9 per month and told me I could cancel it at any time. I just called to cancel this service and they informed me there would be a fee of $35 and I would have to start a new contract! What a bunch of BS!!!!! I can't wait until my contract expires!!!
HORRIBLE Customer Service – LVAC's customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I would not recommend joining. Firstly, the manager Dave is hardly a manager at all. I accidently left my driver's license and unlv id on one of the treadmills, Dave had to make a photocopy of both upon entering the facility, and when I got them back I carried them in hand. Anyways, I realized I had misplaced my id's when I was about to leave. I asked the front desk if anyone had turned them in and they told me they wouldn't know, all lost and found is turned in to the manager. So, I went to Dave and asked if he had seen my id's. He looked at me and told me no, the front desk would have them. So, I went back to the front desk and told them what the manager had said. It was only then did they bring up a small lost and found box. My id wasn't there so I asked if they could announce it. After all, I couldn't even drive home without my license. The clerk went to talk to Dave then came back and told me that the manager said, "If someone wanted to turn it in they would have by now." They wouldn't announce it. So, my mother went to talk to Dave and got him to announce it throughout the gym (it was only after my mom had threatened to cancel her membership). Dave told my mother, "It isn't going to help even If I did announce it" and continued to tell us that someone would have turned my id's in by now... and that sometimes people steal. Wel, sure enough, 5 minutes later someone turned in my id's.
Dave has a bad attitude and will be rude if you do not decide to join LVAC. He does nothing as a manager to ensure the satisfaction of his customers. He does nothing to help, with anything. Just sits on his chair all day. As for the front desk people, they don't know how to do anything but look good and swipe cards.
If you want to be treated like an inconvenience, go ahead and join.
Worst Customer Service on EARTH and False Promises Galore! – LVAC's customer service blows. First, when I signed up they gave me a merchant list for discounts, like Whole Foods. Whole Foods told me point blank that they used to have gift bags but LVAC abused the priv so they don't do that anymore. This is one example of MOST in the book.
Second, I was told they had racquetball rackets that I could use when I signed up. The front desk clerk treated me like I was a huge inconvenience and ultimately said no. I've tried to make racquetball CT appointments all week, which I pay extra for and, initially they appointments were booked, THEN they said they wouldnt take phone appts and I'd have to drive all the way down there before they could give me an answer? REALLY??? I'm going to invite a friend to racquetball and then show up and there's no court? What are they smoking?
One more and I'm done venting - I pay extra to meet with a trainer, DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! Same dynamic as the racquetball, first there are no appointments available THEN they wont even take appointments over the phone so. . .I pay for this, cant get in, and they now want me to drive down there before finding out if I even get a trainer that day?
They are constantly rude AFTER you sign up and treat you like an inconvenience. They over promise and under deliver.
they stole my money!! – I moved out from LV (finally!!) and canceled my membership, they supposed to send me check ($56). I've never got it, called them 3 times, finally 6 weeks later I asked again for MY money. They said they have sent check and I can pay 35 dollars to stop payment on the first check. RIDICULOUS! I talked to Elene Toliver, office manager, which constantly interrupted me, was rude and wanted to brush me off, I couldn't even fisnish a sentence. I asked for a contact to higher management she lied to me that she is the highest one, the head of LVAC (what a liar), and she refused to give it to me (I will find out anyway). So basically they pass their fees on me, stealing my money and this 35 bucks is going to buy them a lot of bad reputation, my sis and her husband suppose to sign up there but they just changed their mind. This is 1 of the worst customer service I received.
POOOOR Customer Service – Well were do we start. 1st they really dont care about you your just a number to them. I have been a memeber for over 5 years now and they really dont care about help out if you have a problem they pass the buck to someone else, then the next passes to the next and so on. If you ever need to talk to a manager GOOOD LUCK i wish you the best. Its been 5 weeks now and still no call with 5 messagaes left. HUH amazing... O ya last thing is make sure to talk nice if you ever get more than 2 seconds to talk to someone because they will just hang up..... What a great GYM....
I wouldn't if I were you, better to buy your own weights – First your forced sign a two/three year contract and lower your credit score by 200 points if you can not afford to pay them and second you can only bring a guest one time, thats it. I think 24 hour fitness is a much better place with a more reasonable price and you can bring a guest with you when ever you want. 24 hour fitness you can buy a membership for a month with no contracts and not worried about if you lose your job and having this company lower your credit score by 200 points .
Worst fitness faciltiy – There is a fat sales guy named Dave (probably 300lbs) at the LVAC on Eastern Ave. I am new to the Las Vegas area and was looking at different fitness facilities. The fat guy, Dave realized he was not going to get the sale on the spot and being a good shopper I would not just join. You should always comparison shop!
1) The fat guy, Dave said, he did not want to waste his time to show me around.
2) After he gave me the prices, the fat guy, Dave said, Gold's Gym on Stephanie was more my gym. I pressed the fat guy, twice, what did he mean....and as I expected he was lost for words and could not directly answer me. The fat guy is not the sharpest knife in the draw.
Gold's Gym on Stephanie should thank him.
I proceeded to make a complaint to the general manager, AJ, who just happened to step into a meeting. Where have I heard that before....... What BS! These gym idiots must think they are smart. LOL...
I advise anyone with common sense not to patronize the LVAC who has employees and management that lack basic customer service skills.
Horrid! – Trying to cancel your membership due to relocation is next to impossible! It's a gym for goodness sakes!
criminals – just try and cancel a membership you cant i paid them for over a year while i was in new york and my son returned to iraq they kept drafting fees as i was sending them their information with change of address, when i called the bank and stopped they turned it over to quantum collectioins another criminal outfit, and they report in excess to equifax a outstanding balance anyone else in this situation with them contact me i am starting a suit against them and quantum collectons sincerly get away from this gym they are terrible
Some of the worst customer of all time – There are not enough words to describe the sheer incompetency of their corporate staff. If you ever have an issue with billing you are absolutely screwed. I called in December to take my account off of auto pay and whoever I spoke to did not do it. For the next two months LVAC tried to withdraw money from a credit card, which no longer exsisted. I was not notified at all by phone, e-mail, snail mail, text, NOTHING. So for two months they charged these fees even though I was paying cash for my membership each month. When I found this out I called them, which got me absolutley nowhere. They wouldn't even let me speak to a supervisor to explain this simple mistake. The next step was to go down to their office in person. Again no supervisor and more excuses and explanations as to why they couldn't take off these charges. I really can't remember an experience with a company that made a mistake and blamed me for it and did not do anything to correct the situation. The bottom line was it wasn't right and they did nothing for a loyal, on time paying customer except waste a couple hours of my time. It's easy to understand why they are running promotions for "Join and recieve 6 months free." Their product is garbage. Their company has by far the worst customer service of any gym I've ever been a member of. 24 hour fitness will be getting my business ASAP!
