Great venue....lousy, expensive service – The drink prices here are really high and the bar tacks the gratuity on to your tab, so don't leave extra tips unless you are really happy with the service. We went on a Sunday night, came early and wanted to eat there before the show. There were 3 of us but they ran out of food, so only one person got served and that was after more than 2 hours...the show had already started. I figure they were aware of the food shortage long before they showed up at our table with the news. When we first arrived and ordered drinks, they told us there was a problem with the computer so we needed to pay our bar tab up front...without a bill. Stupidly we did that, and then found out that the gratuity had been added up front, when we finally got our bill at the end of the evening.
Let me say this, the venue is really nice. It's a small intimate setting and the acoustics were good...which is why I go to a performance in the first place. But, if I ever go again, I will be much more careful with ordering bar and food service.
A Great Place to See A Show – The Vault in Long Beach is a great place to see a show! It's up there with House of Blues and acutally better than the HOB in Anaheim. They have a great variety of music, everything from punk rock to jazz, they cover it. The staff is friendly and the drinks are fair if not cheap. Some of best shows I've seen in the last 5 years were at the Vault 350. Great place to see a show!
Too bad – Yeah, great performers come here and the seats are great but oh my! the drinks are so expensive and the place can get crowded with some very rude people...the ones in charge dont help either because frankly its like they dont care..
biggest bar rip off in town – i only go here if i REALLY want to see the music act. i mean REALLY. the bar is WAY overpriced and they are very sneaky by adding on a 20% gratuity to all bar tabs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when you're drinking at the bar, you usually don't notice this until you get home and you've already added a tip on to the steep bill. aviod at all costs. if necessary, drink heavily before you go.
Worst Venue I've ever been to! – The place books great acts. No denying this. Unfortunately, the place is quite small and they pack it way too full. Getting to the bathroom is a chore and the bar is overcrowded and overpriced. The crowd stinks (smoking cigarettes!) and the shows rarely begin on time. The only pro is the setting is intimate and you're going to have a great view.
Come early and maybe you will get in! – Marcus Dea was there last night, he is so hot! Great entertainment and always a great experience... This young man knows what the LA people desire in a club. Thanks Marcus
a chill place – the atmosphere here is pretty chill; very intimate. i saw jon b. perform here not too long ago and i loved the experience. other than the fact i saw jon b. (whom i love!), the service is nothing really to complain about. the security guards wasn't pushy at all, service was satisfactory. this is a great venue for up-and-coming bands as well as popular ones.
Large Club with Small Club Atmosphere – In January, 2005, I went to see Berlin and Bow Wow Wow at Vault 350. The venue was amazing. Tables on the main floor were placed so that concertgoers who were standing had easy access to anyplace on the floor, which kept the crowd cool even though the band was late. The sound system and lighting were first-class. Everyone was friendly and security was excellent, as they carried Terri Nunn into the audience, and swiftly handled a minor fracas near me toward the end of the show. No one missed a beat.
Vault 350 - NOT.. – Punk managers, overpriced drinks. Beers for 10 bucks ???
Dont' waste your time there...
