In Short
There's a distinctively forest-like air to this narrow space dedicated to the mushroom. Many varieties are grown in Moss Landing under organic conditions, but the store also imports rare fungi that can't be found locally. Black trumpet, fairy rings and morels are sold dry by the ounce, while massive portobellos and baby shiitakes come fresh in baskets. The store also carries truffle-infused olive oils, mushroom hunter's guidebooks and supplements made from fungus.
