Home away from home – George loves to go to Camp Bow Wow! We love to have George go to Camp Bow Wow. He is a much quietier dog when he comes home, although he still has much to say about his day at camp. If we are driving and get close to the turn to camp he starts to sing in anticipation! He has stayed overnight several times and it certainly makes our lives easier to travel without a dog. The staff is great and seem to really care about each animal.
Fantastic Doggie Daycare and Boarding! – We started taking our dog Ollie to Camp Bow Wow when he was a pup (over a year now) and we could not be happier.
Our little guy is a regular there, he goes weekly for daycare and quarterly for boarding and it's such a relief to have a daycare/boarding facility that your pet is "excited" to go to! The mornings of daycare or boarding, all we have to say is "do you want to go to Camp Bow Wow?" and his ears perk up and he gets so excited! The staff there is extremely professional and friendly and they treat Ollie like he is one of their own.
We have recommended Camp Bow Wow to EVERYONE we know, that inquires about daycare and boarding and will continue to do so.
Worst Customer Service and Rude – I will never take my precious dogs here again. The manager or owner was horrible. She is very rude. One of my dogs came back with a cut under each foot pad and was all bloody. I asked to speak with the manager. Debbie came to talk to me and she wasn't caring, compassionate, or helpful in the situation. They hadn't bandaged up my dogs paws at all. They got cut on something metal there and they just left them be without taking care of them at all for hours. I ended up taking her to my vet and they had to clean them and bandage them and put her on meds just in case of infection because they went so long without being treated. I will never go there again.
camp bow wow not good for big puppies – we had a terrible experience here. i have a 10 month old lab greyhound puppy and she got kicked out for being nervous. the employees were completely unwilling to work with her or even try to help comfort her. she was obviously frightened its very loud in there and shes just a puppy. they put her in the large adult section and shes never been around big dogs before except at the dog park with me by her side. she got bit by another dog and she was the one put in her kennel for it. shes non aggressive and was just scared to be away from her home. they hardly gave her an hour before calling me to come get her. i guess they arent willing to help a first timer feel more at home or they dont have a good place for puppies which in that case they should advertise that they are an adult only facility. we tried lucky dog and its a much better kennel. they have indoor pools and a pond for the dogs to walk around, they said they've never kicked a dog out for being nervous unless it was aggressive which she is not. they even put her in with the little dogs when she first got there to make her feel more secure. i would never recomend this kennel for someone with a first timer or a puppy or even a large dog.
Best Doggy Day Care in Colorado Springs – In my opinion Camp Bow Wow is the best doggy day care in the springs. I have tried other facilities and they just don't measure up to CBW. They have also saved us a lot of money! I say that because we rescued our Golden Retriever a few years back and we found that he has separation anxiety. Dogs with SA are very nervous when left alone and tend to tear things up.
CBW is now Stetson's second home. He is greeted every day that he attends with a warm welcome. Also, we like the fact that he sleeps all night after a busy day at camp.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors – Dog day care and boarding facility with climate-controlled indoor space and outdoor play areas. Some locations offer grooming and training.
