another excellent addition.... – Cindi has recently added facials to her menu at The Nail Sanctuary and I was lucky enough to find an opening in her book for the 90 minute Peaceful Reprieve. The entire treatment was wonderful, and I left with my skin feeling thoroughly clean and well-cared for. Her facial bed is heaven, providing a nice support for the back underneath the comfy feather bed. The soothing music, sounds of the trickling wall fountian, and her gentle and feather-light facial techniques lulled me into a deep relaxation that stayed with me all day. I also really appreciate the use of Dermalogica products. I've been looking for skin care products that are affordable and easy to use at home and am very impressed with the quality and performance of this line. Thanks for another great treatment!

Pure Bliss at a fair price – I found Cindi through CitySearch and now I am completely ruined. I go on vacation and won't have a pedicure at the spa because I know it won't be as good and it will definitely cost more. The environment Cindi has created is peaceful, tranquil, and thoroughly relaxing. From the lovely choice of hot & cold beverages, to the little cookies, to the foot massagers and large comfortable chairs - and all of this is just in the waiting area - the attention to detail and the comfort of the customer are the focus. Cindi's attention to detail extends to the quality of service she provides as well. I've never been anything less than thrilled with my experience. My favorite thing is that if I want to unplug and drift completely, she let's me do that. No pressure, no stress, just peace and relaxation.

A Treat For The Feet – This lovely little salon has become my favorite place for "me" time. I'm in the Sellwood neighborhood on a regular basis due to work, and a wonderful way to end my day is by having a pedicure at The Nail Sanctuary. It's so nice to settle in with a magazine and a cup of hot tea while my feet are being pampered. For my last appointment I had the Restful Interlude pedicure, and the combination of jacuzzi, massage, hot towel wrap, and paraffin was so relaxing and hydrating. It's nice to arrive a bit early, too, so I can sit with my feet in the electric foot massagers and listen to the splashing fountain and serene music. This is a great spot to spend some quality quiet time!

peaceful oasis – My husband bought me a gift certificate for The Nail Sanctuary for Christmas, since I had noticed this unusual shop and had been wanting to try it out for myself. I found the idea of a nail salon that catered to just one client at a time intriguing. What a nice idea for a mother of two small, busy children....an escape just for me! I had The Essence of Zen, which is a foot massage treatment, and it was just what I needed to de-stress and find some quiet and serenity. I chose to recline the chair, make use of a silk eye pillow, and just drift away for one lovely hour of bliss. I can't wait to return and am trying to decide what to book for my next appointment. For those wanting some quality time for themselves, this is the place!

Just great! – I was walking through the antique district of Sellwood recently and was delighted to discover this beautiful, peaceful nail salon. I booked an appointment online for a stone pedicure and enjoyed every minute of my time spent there. I loved the fact that I was taken into a quiet and separate treatment area with no one else there to disturb the ambience. Cindi, the owner, explained that she had worked to create a space where clients could have privacy and not be disturbed by noise, conversation, cell phones, etc. I reclined my chair, had a silk eye pillow placed over my eyes, and loved every moment of the jacuzzi soak, hot stone massage, calming music and serene environment. I'm going to buy several gift certificates for some friends and family members this Christmas....I know they'll really enjoy it!

Loved It! – The Nail Sanctuary is a wonderful place to have nail services. The salon is set up to only receive one client at a time, and I loved the peace and quiet. I've been getting manicures and pedicures for several years and have always tried to book my appointments during the quietest times of day. Even so, there was no escape from ringing phones, other people's conversations, and just interruptions in general.

The Nail Sanctuary has a zen feel to it, with a cascading fountain, wonderfully relaxing recliners and foot massagers in the waiting area and soothing music that really get the peaceful mood going. The treatment area is behind two sliding doors and offers manicures and pedicures in serenity and privacy.

I really like the online booking set-up, too. I booked my last appointment over the web and it was easy and convenient. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

very impressive – My wife treated me to a pedicure at The Nail Sanctuary today and I wanted to offer my opinion of the new nail salon in the Sellwood district.

It was very nice not to have anyone else but me in the salon during my appointment - makes it much easier to clear the mind. The set up is very comfortable; there's a waiting area in the front with many details to make spending your time there enjoyable, including electric foot massagers in front of the recliners that I was happy to make use of. Nice touch!

The room that's used for the treatments is also very quiet and personable, with a copper wall fountain and soothing music. I also appreciated the massage options built in to the pedicure chair, and fell asleep half way thru the pedicure. I haven't been that relaxed in a long time!

Wow! – I had a pedicure with Cindi today in her new location and absolutely loved every minute of it. Her new nail salon is just beautiful; the decor is Japanese influenced, with many personal touches that reflect her deisre to create a private sanctuary of peace and serenity, for just one person at a time. What a great idea! No cell phone conversations intruding into my relaxing moment, no ringing phones, no crying children...just soft lighting, soothing music, bubbling fountains, and the best pedicure set up I've ever come across. This oasis of tranquility is one place I'll be coming back to on a regular basis.

Wonderful! – Getting a manicure from Cindi, is not like any other nail service I have ever experienced. Her private room is cozy and very relaxing...she sets the mood to float away perfectly, with candles, quiet music and wonderful aromatherapy. She placed a warm neck wrap on me during my service that was heavenly! Her hand massage was just the right touch and very soothing. Cindi has a very serene, nature about her, that immediately puts you at ease. Best of all, my nails look wonderful and she was meticulous at shaping them, trimming my cuticles, etc. I won't go anywhere else! Not when I can get this awesome experience in a manicure, for a very reasonable price.
