Last year my daughter ( fith grader )joined orchastra and needed a violin. I searched for a violin in my home town and were way to expensive. I went on line and came opon Allegro Violins. I called the number and talked to gentleman. He took his time and explained the differences in violins and prices. We settle on mid range violin. I drove to Allegro Violins in Portland, Oregon from Yakima Washington ( 2 1/2 hour drive ) to pick up the violin. I was impressed with the violin that I purshased for my daughter. He said that if anything went wrong with the violin to give him a call and he would take care of it. Also, if my daughter wanted to up grade to a better violin.. he would take the violin for a trade. A year later my daughter needed a larger violin. True to his word.. he took the violin for a larger violin. Not only a larger one but also a next step up in quality of violin. Later in the year a string broke from the violin. I called the gentleman at Allegro Viloin and explained what had happened. He said. " I'll send the string to you." I recieved it in two days!! All in all I am very pleased with the service and product from Allegro Violin and Music.
Very happy with my violin!. Allegro Violin went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my violin. As a beginner I was looking for a nice low cost student violin and found the prices to be very competitive compared to those online. They offer a one year warranty on their violins which is great! In response to the last post: the student violins are not at the same level as a much more expensive model (thats why they are so expensive!) I definitely feel that the quality of my violin exceeds what I paid for it . All in all I am very satisfied with my purchase and the service I recieved.
Violins are mediocre but service is acceptable.. I purchased online & my teacher was not happy with the quality & sound of the violin. Allegro only had lower quality violins, so I bought a better violin a month later from a competitor.
