Awesome-dogs love it – I go to Dogs R Us almost every day & it's a great place! Always clean & it's obvious that the owner & employees love dogs & take really good care of them. I have never seen them unsupervised or fighting in fact they are screened for that before being allowed to stay.
Horrible – Just picked my dog up after a three day stay, wow! One cut on his face and another on his leg- no calls to let me know about this. He has to be 5lbs lighter too. After questioning what happened to his face and leg- I was told that I had no proof that the injuries happened there and weight loss is normal.I was told " If you don't like it, have your neighbor watch your dog" Is that really the way to treat a customer?? Poor service, poor treatment of animals.
Best doggy daycare!! – Ive been taking my dog to dogs r us for 3 years now! They are the best! They know my first and last name by heart and also my dogs name! The staff has always been very friendly to me! my dog comes home exhausted and happy! I would never take my dog anywhere else!
Awesome Experience @ Dogs R Us – So where to start..... me and my fiance were looking to adopt a dog just before Christmas and with the help from a friend were told to go to Dogs R Us and speak with Jeff we found him extreamely helpful!! He and his staff knew what help we needed with the Tips and Tricks to rescuing a troubled Pug :) as he helped us to find the Pug Rescue that he is affiliated with and that service was just as pleasant and helpful!
after going to pick up our new little buddy we took him to Dogs R Us to stay for a few days so Jeff could watch and take a look at his behavior and habbits that may need to be corrected after 4 nights of him having an awesome time with his now other friends that he see's everyday he is the perfect littlle addition to our growing family.
Unprofessional Owner (staff was very nice) – I took my dogs there as a recommendation from some friends. My dogs were there for 12 nights. When I got my dogs back, both of them had lost weight (which is normal for dogs due to many reasons - being away from home, playing more, getting stressed out, etc.). However, one of my dogs was so under weight you could see all of his back vertebra sticking out, his ribs, his hip bones, and the fat pads on the top of his head between his ears is almost all gone and now it just bone and skin. I didn't receive a single phone call that my dog was experiencing excessive weight loss, due to being "more stressed" out than normal. I spoke to the owner, Jeff Peay, 2 times and not once did he mention my dogs extreme weight loss. Instead he blamed it one me: 2 weeks is a long time for your dogs, your dog was skinny to begin with, you didn't tell me all the info about your dogs. When I asked for a partial refund, he told me that I was blackmailing and extorting him for money and that's all I cared about. I will never go back.
Terrible: Dog Got Stitches – Twelve is how many stitches my dog got after being here and they didn't even tell me about the bite when I picked him up.
When I called to express my concern, the owner, Jess, was immediately defensive and rude. He referred to the bite as "the alleged bite". Incredible. Not an ounce of concern for my dog's well-being throughout the whole conversation.
Dogs R Us is a joke.
dogs not supervised – This place is horrific. The dogs are not supervised AT ALL. I went three times and each time my dog had bites. The last time his ear was bitten nearly off and the staff had NOT EVEN NOTICED and said nothing to me about it. I noticed he was bleeding all over my car as I drove home and had to pay over $500 in vet bills to keep him from losing his ear. I called to discuss and he just hangs up on me.
Very happy with Dogs R Us – I have always used Dogs R Us when my two dogs needed boarding. Their staff is friendly, and my dogs
seem to like it there. I decided to have my dogs groomed there as well, and I am happy with their grooming services also. Their groomer worked closely with me to be sure I she trimmed the dogs as I wanted; trying to be sure I would be happy. I think they are a good little grooming and boarding shop.
Greatest place ive been to in a LONG time! – I absolutly had a wonderful time taking my dog here to Dogs R US. My dog is usually timid with people and other dogs and i have noticed when i took him in the other day for his first day, he was not being timid at all! The people there knew how to approach him at a timly manner and they didnt try to over crowd him with too many dogs. Since they came at that approach, he made it through the daycare with no problems!
Since he started, his confidence has been higher and seems more relaxed. The boarding is awesome as well, they dont use the typical plastic boxes, they use the chainlink fence with different size depending on the dog/dogs.
I dont have anything bad or wrong to say about anyone at DRU. Everyone is kind and loves every dog that comes into their facility. They will make sure that your dog is being taken care of.
IF YOU WANT YOUR DOG TO BE HAPPY WHILE YOUR GONE, GO TO DOGS R US
Never again – I adopted my dog from the animal shelter and he was EXTREMELY matted. He was so matted that I wasn't sure how well he could be shaved because many of the mats were very close to the skin. Aside from not following my directions (I asked them to shave everything, including his face and tail because his fur was discolored) they did a great job on everything but his head and genitals! His head was just uneven and silly looking... something that I can definitely deal with... next time I'll just bring a photo of what I want... but they cut his genitals not once, not twice but 5 times!!! In spite of the fact that his genital area had just been shaved in order to be neutered and didn't need to be "groomed"! And in the most sensitive sensitive area! Because of the location of the cuts I didn't notice until I got him home and he started whimpering and licking himself. He was actually bleeding from 2 of the cuts! I would think that the groomer would be careful of that area all the time, but especially when the dog has just had surgery! I guess not... If my dog behaved badly I could see how he could get cut, but the groomer actually said he was very well behaved and very calm the entire time and actually seemed happy to be there. Did he seem happy when you cut him? Seriously!
There were two girls working behind the counter when I dropped him off. A brunette who was very nice and a blond who was dissmissive and apparently ignored everything I told her. The owner was very nice as well, but I will not be going back to Dogs R Us for another butchering.
Customer brought in an extremely matted and neglected dog for us to groom. Had customer sign a grooming waiver to say the same. Dog was never cut. Due to extreme matting the dog had minor razor burn and nothing else. Maybe if she groomed her dog every 4 to 6 weeks like is recommended for her breed instead of every 4 to 6 months this story would be different. Her neglected is the problem, not this business!
