Good but not the best!!!!!!!! – To be brief food here was good but can be a notch better, appetizers were good and i had the maine lobster with mushroom ravioli which also was average,my wife had the florida grouper which she actually liked alot.their creme brulee is really bad to be honest.one thing i hated was the service which was super slow and it's not like they were super busy, our waiter was so slow to take orders, etc.overall a good experience but don't expect much, especially if you have been around to many restaurants around town.
Inconsistent Food – Some of their food is great, and some is not so great (I am being polite).
Scallop appetizer had 3 below average sized scallops covered (hidden) under glass noodles, but it tasted good.
Chilean sea bass fist rate.
Salmon in pastry - pastry was underdone and greasy. Sent back.
Pumpkin cheesecake good, not great.
There is a 'sweetness' theme from the appetizer through the dessert.
Restaurant has a franchise feel. Felt our food was being made by cooks and not chefs.
Terrible customer service – Called 7 weeks in advance for a reservation. They wouldn't take it at the time we requested even though they had NOTHING booked for that night b/c we had one more person than they 'allow' for at that particular time slot. Completely ridiculous. We took our business elsewhere.
Upscale seafood restaurant serves up contemporary atmosphere and Asian-inspired fare. – In Short
Like its sibling restaurant in the Loop, Catch 35 draws business diners and a special-occasion crowd with fresh seafood. The space is bright and open, with warm wood accents and a contemporary feel. The extensive menu offers seafood favorites like surf and turf and oysters on the half shell, but most plates are given a gentle Asian tweak: steamed mussels with lemongrass broth, pan-seared tuna with Szechuan glaze, chive pot stickers and beer-battered onion rings.
