The best Phoenix Tanning Salon!!! – I've been going here for about a week now, and all I can tell you are good things! The beds are AMAZING! They are very up to date. Even the second level beds are awesome!!! I recomend using the Saturn standup. A little pricey, but DEF worth it!! The front desk girl was very helpful and informative when I was searching for my new tanning salon. This place is definetly it!! Also, they have killer deals on mystic spray tans!! Go check this place out!
POOR STAFF – I went here to tan one day, and there was this Thick blonde girl working behind the counter and I had, had planty of sessions left in the High Pressure, and enought lotion i mean i must have been preasured a couple of days bfore that by another girl. so shes going on and on about these lotions are the best. So i told her again i dont need lotion i just bough some days before that. and so she says well your getting kinda low on you sessions, and so i made the comment of i just bought those when i bought the lotion i belive i got the 25% off the lotion for buying more sessions? So then she says " Well your all SET__' In bed five. ( sounding snotty) So i carried on and went into the room she said i was able to tan in, Once i got in i did not realize the timer at "First so i Was prepared to tan and noticed the timer and had changed a digit down and i also realized and the same moment, that the time was a significant amount lower.... so i yelled out to the Girl in the Front, the timer on the bed has counted down with out me turning the bed on, So she says ok i will take care of that for you, so i wait a while and i ask again, so in response she say im sorry i cant get the bed to reset so i said ok! Can i move to another bed! So she replies sure. So i go to the front desk and say ok well what number bed should i go in that will work! So she says just a minute, and she typing something in on the computer and she turns to me and says that will be so much $ and i said to her i thought you said i could change to a different bed! and she says yes you can it will be this much $. So i asked why will it be the cost of that when the counter counted down with out me starting the bed and she said well theres a timer and i said i didnt take the whole length of the time.. So she says im sorry but i cant let you tan unless you want to change beds by paying a small fee ( mind you this was no small fee)
So i said no and before i walked away i said i would like you to leave a message for your manager and so she said i will. I went in later to see if she had spoken to her manager and.. She hadn't So i asked the timing of when the manager would be in. So fourth i came back to the salon When the manager (Ashley) was available, and so i preceded to tell her what happened at my previous tan, she had looked throw her files and said yes i see that u tanned so fourth i explained to her more thoroughly what happened and she preceded to tell me that she was sorry and that if i did want to change beds that day i would have had to pay the amount that was provided to me the day of the incident.....
I recommending not EVER going to this tanning salon it was over priced for one and it POOR" assistants, with the employ ( also the Manger)
Terrible Experience – I joined Jamaciametan last year and didnt renew after 2 months. I decided to re-join and am still having the same problems with them as I did last time. In order to join you must have a credit/debit card. I Just wanted to pay cash to renew. They said no. I gave them my card number. After cancelling my membership they continued to run my card over and over again to the amount of $230.00. They will not reimburse. The staff is the typical 'blonde' teenie-bopper type and they are friendly yet not intellegent. The beds were dirty, the facility was dirty and people are walking around inside half un clothed. Not very professional.
Tanning Experts – I loved this place! Not only was it close by and clean, the actual tanning is great in quality. The people there are very kind and always meet my needs.I'm a very cautious tanner because of the dangerous affects of too much UV rays, but this place makes me feel very safe and at home. I can't wait to go again!
Great Beds, Great Price – My experiences at this salon have been completely different than the others posted here. I've been coming here for over 2 years now. Due to my job, I tan several times a week. I found Jamaca Me Tan while trying out many salon's Mystic booths. I had been going through laser hair removal treatments and therefore wasn't able to use a regular UV tanning bed. Jamaca had packages at the time for the Mystic that averaged $7-$10 per session, so I quickly became a loyal customer. When I was through with the laser hair removal sessions, I promptly bought an unlimited package for $40/month for the 2nd level bed. I did not sign any type of contract. Several months later when the manager (Amanda) was waiting for new bulbs for that bed, she immediately upgraded me to the high pressure bed. Amanda, Randy and all the girls there know my name. In fact, as soon as I walk through the door they say, "Your bed's ready for you." (I later learned that they see me driving into the parking lot and even know my car!) Since the new manager came in a couple months ago, there have been some changes. There are now hooks and mirrors in EVERY room, and while there are new employees, it is all for the better. And, as far as those small holes that were in the wall (from the old outlets), they all have new outlet covers on them. I stopped in to tan today and it was "free tan day". They had cookies and free tanning for everyone! The new manager is doing a lot to make positive changes and I'll keep going there for a long time to come.
worst tanning experience – I had just moved to the area about 4 months ago and went to this salon because it was closest to me. Boy did I make a mistake. The prices here are horrible and terribly over priced, everything you purchase involves some long term contract with expensive cancellation fees, and the worst part was the customer service. There was always new staff everytime I came in so they never remember your name, very impersonal, with old staff being fired constantly, which I learned how they were fired through the manager who was not shy to tell me every detail, very unprofessional.
Everytime I walked in i felt the pressure to buy something or upgrade one thing or another , these employees are more obsessed with sales then providing good customer service. The salon itself should be more upkept with such outrageous sale prices, there are holes in the walls, and it never once looked vaccumed when I came in. That made me concerned about how clean the beds were. I tried complaining to the manager but once again recieved no results or a positive response. I would not reccomend this salon to anyone!!!
Horrible place – I tried to tan here but the staff is never there when they are supposed to be. I would stop by at 10am and it would be locked and there were many other occasions that this happened. The staff is extraordinarily rude so I stopped going. I would NOT recommend this place at all.
Worst Customer Service – I have never been treated as poorly as I was recently when I went to tan and was told that the standard bed was broken or should I say the hydralics that lift the heavy hood of the bed were not working properly. I asked to be upgraded to the next level and the staff member called the manager whom claimed that since "technically the bed was working and only the hydralics were not that I could not be upgraded for no charge". I decided to give it a go and found the bed hood far to heavy to lift and a potential hazard to me to even attempt to use it. When I went back to the staff member they denied calling the manager again for any kind of reconciliation and basically said to me thru their actions that they did not care about me or my business. I was completely put out by the lack of ability to make a decision to service me as a customer and to recognize that this probelm was theirs and had to do with their faulty equipment not my ability to pay.
Best Tanning salon EVER!! – I went in for some deals on packages cause of springbreak and didnt want to spend to much, but as we all know things with quailty might cost a LIL more. So i went in the girls there showed me around the salon and gave me many different choices. with in four times going i lOVED MY TAN. i think this place is great.
bad UV Free mystic tan experience – I used to believe that all the UV free salons are the same. Unfortunately, I learned that I was wrong after I managed to buy into one of Jamaica me tan "specials".
I had a wonderful experience getting a UV free tan in Scottsdale, Sachi. This time, I decided to find something closer to home.
The tan received in Jamaica Me Tan washed out after a week, even though I was applying an extending lotion (that is sold here in the salon) religiously. The booth itself was a very dark cabin with little light and a very small window. I never felt claustrophobic, but this time when I closed the door, I felt a BIT uncomfortable.
Then, there were little details like vague instructions by the staff, lack of a hook on the wall for clothes, pressure to buy products etc.
I'm not going back.
